On the evening of July 20, 1973, Bruce Lee, the king of kung fu, died at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Hong Kong at the age of 33. The news spread like a bolt from the blue, quickly spreading throughout Hong Kong, attracting the keen attention of countless media. According to the "New Star Daily", Bruce Lee did not die at home, but fell into a coma in the residence of the yellow star surnamed Ding, and was subsequently taken to the hospital.
On July 25, Bruce Lee's body was publicly displayed at the Kowloon Funeral Parlour for public viewing. On that day, both sides of the road were crowded with mourning crowds, and grieving fans and people gathered in front of the funeral home. His wife, Linda Emery, an American, dressed her husband in filial piety according to traditional Chinese Xi. When Bruce Lee died, his son Li Guohao was only 8 years old and his daughter Li Xiangning was 4 years old.
After that, Bruce Lee's coffin was transported to Seattle, USA, for burial, a place that means a lot to him. He once founded the "Zhenfan Guoshu Museum" here and started his own kung fu road. His romance with Linda also sprouted here, and the two eventually got married.
At Lakeview Cemetery in Seattle, Bruce Lee's grave is very ordinary and nothing special. Behind the crimson tombstone is a marble-covered grave with his photograph inlaid above and his name and year of birth and death below. It is worth mentioning that above the tomb is a black marble slab in the shape of an open book, which is engraved with the diagram of the yin and yang fish and the maxim "the impossible is the law, and the infinite is the finite". This sentence is the essence of Bruce Lee's kung fu philosophy, and it is also his lifelong persistence and pursuit.
However, fate's blow to the Bruce Lee family did not end. On April 1, 1993, Bruce Lee's son Li Guohao died on the set of the movie at the age of 28. The cause of his death remains a mystery to this day. A few days later, his body was transported back to Seattle and buried next to his father.
Li Guohao's grave is next to his father's grave and has a similar shape. The tombstone bears his name in English and Chinese and the year of his birth and death. Engraved on the marble is a line in English: "Because we don't know when we will die, we always think that life is some kind of inexhaustible wealth, but some things happen only a few times, in fact, a few times."
