After 16 years of restoration, the ruins of the palace of the ancient Macedonian kingdom in northern Greece reopened to the public on January 6. The restoration of the ruins of the palace of the ancient Macedonian kingdom began in 2007 and continues until 2023. Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said at the inauguration ceremony on January 5 that he hoped the restored palace ruins would attract more tourists and boost the economic development of the surrounding area.
