The Greek government has recently introduced two new types of visas.

According to a number of mainstream media reports in Greece, the two new visas that will be launched soon are the Talent Visa and the Tech Visa. The new visa will allow graduates from countries outside the EU with world-class university degrees, as well as skilled workers and business executives, to work in Greece through legal and controlled immigration methods, which is also a strategic priority for the Greek Ministry of Immigration.

According to Greek Minister of Immigration and Asylum Karidis, the two new visa programs, "TalentVisa" and "TechVisa", are part of the Greek government's efforts to accelerate the process of allowing immigrants to enter the labor market, aiming to enhance Greece's position in the international academic, research and investment fields. Legal immigration is one of the Greek government's strategic priorities, and these new visa programs will bring more expertise and innovative thinking to Greece, Karidis said.

TechVisa Program:

Among them, the "TechVisa" program is a fast-track program for founders and employees of companies with a high-level technical or business background to work in Greece. This visa is valid for one year and allows the talent to work, change employers, or become self-employed for the duration of the visa without further permission. In addition, the visa can be extended to immediate family members, and after the expiration of the visa, the applicant can apply for an extension or permanent settlement in Greece.

"TalentVisa" program:

The "TalentVisa" is a new type of annual entry permit for graduates from well-known universities abroad, and is suitable for talented university graduates from all over the world. The program aims to increase the talent pool of Greek employers, start-ups, and research institutions.

This visa allows students who have graduated from top universities across the globe to enter Greece for one year. According to the Department of Immigration, prospective applicants do not need to be offered a job to look for a job with a "TalentVisa". It is open to university graduates from all non-EU countries.

Applicants to the "TalentVisa" must demonstrate that they have earned a degree from a top university such as Harvard, Stanford, MIT, Princeton, Yale, Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial College, Peking University, Tsinghua University, etc., within the past five years.
