After a hundred years, the scale of the four hospitals has undergone earth-shaking changes, from the initial development of only 100 beds to 900, the number of employees from 100 to 1300 people, the area has also developed from the initial 6,000 planes to the current new campus of 20663 square meters, from all levels have shown a continuous development trend. In February 2018, the People's Government of Hongkou District and Tongji University signed a cooperation agreement to prepare for the establishment of the Affiliated Hospital of Tongji University. After three years of unremitting efforts and continuous improvement of scientific research and teaching connotations, the four hospitals were officially approved as the Affiliated Hospital of Tongji University in June 2021. With the care and support of the district party committee and district government, under the professional leadership of the Municipal Health Commission and the Municipal Food and Drug Administration, and with the strong support of Tongji University, the four hospitals shouldered the ardent hopes of the people and marched towards a new journey.
After the celebration and unveiling ceremony, the old employees and leaders visited the history exhibition of the hospital, and the atmosphere was warm. Seeing the old objects in the hospital and recognizing the young self and old colleagues in the photo, it is as if through the door of time, evoking many good memories left in the previous jobs in the four hospitals.
A veteran leader who served as vice president of the four courtyards more than 20 years ago came to the new courtyard for the first time today, after attending the ceremony and visiting the memorial hall of the history of the hospital, he said emotionally that being able to move from the originally simple and narrow old courtyard of North Sichuan Road to the current new courtyard is inseparable from the long-term strong support and care of the district committee and district government, and it is also the painstaking efforts of generations of people of the four hospitals. Once limited by the conditions of the house, the site, not even a place to put modern medical equipment, many things dare to think and can not do, the period of more than enough and insufficient strength is gone. The new hospital has perfect facilities, sufficient resources, coupled with the close connection with Tongji University, a first-class university in China, and the ability of the four hospitals to admit patients has increased significantly.
