Relying on the first industrial 5G commercialization technology demonstration base established in the construction machinery industry, Shantui closely combines 5G communication technology, intelligent control technology and high-power bulldozers. Based on the SD90-5 mine bulldozer, the new 4D light field 5G intelligent remote control bulldozer adopts an advanced modular design, which is perfectly compatible with both machine driving and remote control driving modes. In the network coverage area, it can achieve 360 degrees of movement without dead angles, with the characteristics of low latency and high bandwidth. What's more, it breaks through the traditional way of operation and makes it possible to remotely control the equipment and display the construction.

Technological innovation is not only reflected in remote driving. The world's first "4D light field" and glasses-free 3D technology have been widely used in this product. Through this technology, the entire light field information of the bulldozer's working scene is completely collected and realistically restored to the driver's eyes through the naked-eye 3D screen. This allows the driver to remotely control the intelligent remote control bulldozer to carry out a variety of operations, from leveling the road surface to building retaining walls, from sorting materials to unmanned driving, comprehensively improving the efficiency and safety of the operation.

Shantui's intelligent remote-controlled bulldozer has shown significant advantages in man-machine separation, operation accuracy, driving and riding perspective, control flexibility, and accuracy. From the traditional driver's operation to the 800-meter wireless remote control bulldozer, and then to the current remote control construction of the Shantui SD90-5E bulldozer, Shantui has achieved a qualitative leap in the stable operation of software, smooth human-computer interaction, and safe and efficient construction site.

It is worth mentioning that the world's first 4D light field 5G remote control bulldozer developed by Shantui has been successfully applied in coal mines in Inner Mongolia, adding a strong touch to the construction of smart mines. The three 5G remote-controlled bulldozers have been running stably for more than 8,000 hours, and the equipment is in excellent condition. Through the combination of 5G remote online control and precise synchronous operation process, the bulldozer realizes ultra-long-distance remote control driving at the production site, and completes high-quality tasks such as leveling, slope making, and lowering. The successful implementation of this project not only fills a number of gaps in the field of unmanned mining equipment technology in extremely cold areas, but also plays a leading role in related fields in China.
