On the afternoon of December 27th, the award ceremony of the "Moon of China" young students on both sides of the strait who wrote poems with images and the "Temperature, Jimei" theme micro-film competition was held at Xiamen University of Technology.
He Qingyu, Chairman of the Federation of Literary and Art Circles of Jimei District, Xiamen City, Zhu Shunxi, Vice President of Xiamen Institute of Technology, Li Gongqin, Vice President of Shih-Hsin University in Taiwan, Zhan Shijian, Deputy Dean of the Cross-Strait and Overseas Student Institute of Mingchuan University in Taiwan, Yang Zongxing, Executive Deputy Director of the Industry, University and Promotion Office, Shen Hong, Researcher of the New Media Marketing and Communication Center of Peking University, Shen Hong, Master Supervisor of Minzu University of China, Zong Ping, a famous film and television artist and national first-class actor, Lin Huijuan, President of the Fujian Broadcasting and Hosting Association, and representatives from Xiamen Institute of Technology, Jiageng College of Xiamen University, Jimei University, Taiwan Mingchuan University, Nearly 200 award-winning student representatives from Fujian Technical Normal University and other colleges and universities witnessed another grand event of cross-strait cultural exchanges.
He Qingyu, Chairman of the Xiamen Jimei District Federation of Literary and Art Circles, delivered a speech at the award ceremony and expressed the hope that the event would become a cultural brand of Jimei, and a characteristic brand of cross-strait exchanges, so as to help the integrated development of the two sides of the strait. Zhu Shunmo, vice president of Xiamen University of Technology, delivered a speech to congratulate the winning students of this competition, and fully affirmed the importance and humanistic temperature of the event.
It is understood that since the official launch of this competition in July, it has received great attention and active participation from young students on both sides of the strait, and students from all over the world have enthusiastically signed up for submissions. The judges of the competition are experts and professors from universities on both sides of the Taiwan Strait, such as Shanghai Normal University, Tsinghua University, Peking University, Shih Hsin University in Taiwan, and Ming Chuan University in Taiwan. As the initiator of this event, Professor Guo Xiaohua, Dean of the School of Film, Television and Communication of Xiamen University of Technology, said that "Writing Poetry with Images" is a youth video creation project extended to both sides of the strait on the basis of the master's degree in drama and film and television, which is an innovative coupling of literature and video, and a positive attempt to create cross-media art in the context of the new era. Shen Hong, a researcher at the New Media Marketing Communication Center of Peking University and a master's supervisor of Minzu University of China, systematically commented on the competition and the entries as a representative of the judges, spoke highly of the idea and form of the event, and analyzed the advantages and disadvantages of the entries from a professional point of view, hoping that the event would become an artistic exchange platform for young people on both sides of the strait who are willing to participate and have the courage to perform.
At the award ceremony, some of the award-winning student representatives shared their shooting experience and delivered their acceptance speeches, and some award-winning students who were unable to come to the scene due to their studies in Taiwan sent videos to express their blessings and thanks, and said that they would have the opportunity to come to Xiamen to participate in the next competition in the future. Mr. Zong Ping, a famous film and television artist and national first-class actor, Mr. Lin Huijuan, president of the Fujian Provincial Broadcasting and Hosting Association, and the students of Xiamen University of Technology majoring in broadcasting and hosting performed poetry recitations and literary works on the same stage.
It is understood that "China's Moon" is an important supporting activity of the "9th Taiwan University Teachers and Students Exchange Week", and it is also a special fund support project for the development of literature and art in Jimei District, Xiamen City in 2023. The event was hosted by Xiamen Institute of Technology and Xiamen Jimei District Federation of Literary and Art Circles, undertaken by the School of Film, Television and Communication of Xiamen University of Technology, Xiamen Jimei District Film and Television Artists Association, and co-organized by Xiamen Television Artists Association and Fujian University Students Cultural and Creative Association.
