However, the good times were short-lived. In 2020, Chen Liangsheng, who has always been in good health, was suddenly diagnosed with cancer. At the age of 87, he still had enough energy to spare, so he was treated in the hospital alone without his wife.
It wasn't until one day more than a year later that 73-year-old Siqin Gaowa noticed that his wife was obviously emaciated and weakened, and she learned that he had been battling the disease. Chen Liangsheng's health deteriorated, which made Siqin Gaowa almost collapse.
Because she is filming in China these days, she has no time to take care of her wife at all. And she also felt deeply remorseful - she had promised Chen Liangsheng to hold hands for another 30 years, but now she broke her promise and gained weight.
In despair, Siqin Gaowa stayed in front of the sickbed all night long, hoping that God would take care of the pair of hard-working mandarin ducks. However, on that winter day in 2022, 89-year-old Chen Liangsheng still passed away, leaving his wife to endure the test in grief.
Fill it with work, but it is difficult to hide the mourning
The blow of her husband's death made 73-year-old Siqin Gaowa almost collapse. In order to reinvigorate herself, she chose to return to the scene and continue to devote herself to the acting work she loves.
Whenever there is a gap between filming, Siqin Gaowa will look at the position that originally belonged to Chen Liangsheng countless times. She would think of the scene when her wife was always silently by her side before her death, and tears couldn't help but burst out of her eyes.
Sometimes in my sleep, I would see Chen Liangsheng laughing in front of me when I was young, but when I opened my eyes, I was greeted by a cold reality.
