The 2024 Dongguan Lawn New Year Concert is hosted by the Propaganda Department of the Dongguan Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Organization Department of the Dongguan Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, and undertaken by the Dongguan Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports. The event has not only expanded in scale, but also strived to make great breakthroughs and upgrades in program choreography, stage design, and on-site atmosphere creation.
In terms of program composition, the concert creatively combines the traditional word brand name with the city's talent strategy, with a total of four chapters: "Preface, This Station, Dongguan", "Man Tingfang: Talent Gathering", "Waves and Sands, Reform Tide", and "Qinyuan Spring: Building Dreams and Forging Ahead", each of which will perform corresponding theme music works. Among them, the Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra, one of the top symphony orchestras in mainland China, will continue to be invited to play this year, with Liu Ming, the famous conductor, artistic director of the Dongguan Philharmonic Orchestra and permanent conductor of the Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra, as the conductor. Dongguan's famous male vocal group "Son of the Sun", the Golden Bell Award winner young singer Chen Sili, Dongguan student Zhong Shaoheng, who won the first prize in the 15th Arthur Grumio International Violin Competition in Belgium, and the Yulan Grand Theatre Children's Choir will also perform on stage.
