Nubu Subdistrict is located in the upper reaches of the Qiantang River, the central and western part of Lanxi City, across the Lanjiang River and Xiangxi Town, and was included in the fourth batch of historical and cultural towns in Zhejiang Province in 2012. During the Three Kingdoms Wu Baoding period (266-269), the new Shou Ding Tan (Huiji Shanyin) in Dongyang County, when passing through this place by boat, saw a group of young girls with huan yarn on the riverside, so they called it "Daughter Pu", and later people also followed suit. When Zhu Yuanzhang of the Ming Dynasty cruised through Jiangnan, his royal driver crossed the Lanjiang River, and suddenly encountered strong winds and waves, but after a while he could land safely, thus giving this place the title of "Pingdu Town". The Qing Dynasty called this place differently, because the street resembled a double dragon lying on the river, and some people called it "Double Dragon Town". At the same time, it is also said that when the Qianlong Emperor disembarked from the ship here, the Huansha woman used a dressing board to pick it up ashore, and the Qianlong Emperor gave the name "Daughter Port". It was not until the early years of the Republic of China that the area was widely known as Nübu Town, and in 2004, Nübu Town was abolished and Nübu Subdistrict was established.
The core area of Nübu Ancient Town is Nübu Market Town Ancient Street, with a total length of more than 1400 meters, divided into upper and lower streets. On the northwest side of shangjie Street, there are integration lanes, Fangci Lanes, Qingshi Lanes, Waterwheel Lanes, Wuci Lanes and Caishen Lane through the new district, and on the southeast side there are Shaojia Lane through the Lanjiang Embankment. In 1927, the Lanxi Provisional Special Branch of the CPC was established, and in October of the same year, the Lanxi County Committee of the CPC was formally established, and Shao Puci, a Jiaoshi man from Nubu Street, and Tong Yutang, a Shangxinwu man, served as the secretary of the special branch and the secretary of the county party committee, leading the people of Lanxi to carry out revolutionary struggle.
