Native plants such as wormwood, luoshi and caryophyllus live in symbiosis here, becoming "hosts" for insects such as butterflies and bees. A pond with rainwater collection function is also set up in the garden to provide survival and replenishment for the garden animals and plants, and form a circular ecological chain of habitat gardens while protecting biodiversity.

The reporter saw that the "Habitat Research Society" is located in a semi-enclosed white building in the Wancun Habitat Garden, and the construction area integrates viewing, leisure and science popularization functions. At the scene, the "First Lesson of Habitat Opening" was held in the "Habitat Research Club". Cutting sulfuric acid paper, fixing butterfly specimens, adjusting wing angles...... Following the explanation of the teacher from the Natural History Museum, the students from the city's Sannu Junior High School made butterfly habitat specimens here and learned Xi about insects. At the same time, the students also followed the designer's footsteps and walked into the Wancun Habitat Garden, which has a quiet environment and diverse ecology, to understand the functions of each area of the garden on the spot, and to deepen their understanding of the characteristics of the habitat garden with "habitat function".
It is reported that the "Green Spirit" green protection team, composed of more than 10 community residents, party members and green plant enthusiasts, is responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of the Wancun Habitat Garden. During the event, the "Green Spirits" put down their watering cans and used paintbrushes and paints to make "habitat wall paintings" to paint their love for the habitat garden and attract more residents to participate in habitat co-governance. It is understood that more than 30 people have joined the Jiangsu Road street green protection team, and they have taken the initiative to participate in the construction of habitat gardens along Yuyuan Road, and actively make suggestions in the collection of opinions, design and planning, the formulation of conventions, and daily maintenance.
The reporter learned that there are project crossovers in the process of building habitat gardens, installing elevators and dividing parking spaces in Wancun residential areas, and problems were encountered in the planning of plans, funds, time and space in the early stage. Jiangsu Road Street in the "snail shell dojo", convened the general party branch of the residential area, the construction party, the designer and other units to carry out the demolition and renovation of dilapidated houses at the habitat garden point, and at the same time strive to carry out elevator installation without destroying the main function and structural layout of the garden, and retain a part of the parking space, providing more conditions and possibilities for the transformation of the boutique community. At the same time, the street work team listened to the voices of the people and gathered public opinions, and after 18 project coordination meetings, more than 10 on-site visits, and 4 adjustments to the design plan of the habitat garden, under the coordinated promotion of all parties, the Wancun Habitat Garden was expanded from the original point of less than 100 square meters of space to the current 410 square meters of splicing plots, creating a vivid real picture of "beauty on beauty, the best of all three, and beauty together".

Up to now, the West Garden Habitat Garden, Qishan Village Habitat Garden, and Wancun Habitat Garden along Yuyuan Road have all been completed and opened this year. With a total area of about 1,960 square meters, the three habitat gardens are located in the west, middle and east of the Changning section of Yuyuan Road, which string together the green ecological chain of Yuyuan Road with different theme features, effectively enhancing the connectivity of the "Ecological Green Corridor" of the historical district of Yuyuan Road.
