On December 26, Xingtu officially released the M3X superhybrid platform for the global mid-to-high-end market, and the first model built based on the platform, the Yaoguang C-DM, was also unveiled at the same time, and will be launched in the first quarter of 2024. At the same time, Xingtu also launched the "Yaoguang C-DM 10,000 Crowd Test" plan.

As a platform designed for hybrid vehicles, the M3X super-hybrid platform is designed with the layout of the three-electric system in mind, and has a high degree of flexibility and scalability. The overall hierarchical structure is adopted, which can be continuously iterative, modularly developed, and more efficient in car manufacturing, which will play a vital role in the future layout of Xingtu's hybrid products.
For the special use of hybrid vehicles, the Xingtu M3X super-hybrid platform has carried out tests on high heat, high humidity, high cold, and high efficiency performance in the world's most demanding automotive environments such as Brazil, Indonesia, the Middle East, Germany, and China, and has ensured the stable and reliable technical quality of its peers. For example, the waterproof performance of the whole vehicle is developed in accordance with the national standard 3 times, the waterproof battery pack reaches 48 times the national standard, and the battery and other systems of the vehicle meet the requirements of the ultra-wide operating temperature zone of "as low as -35 °C and as high as 60 °C".
The product matrix can cover SUVs, MPVs, SD and other variable models, including PHEVs and REEVs, and is compatible with ICE and other variable drive modes. At the same time, the platform also has the characteristics of flexible bandwidth, which can be freely combined and changed between medium-sized and medium-large vehicles with a length width of 4750~5100mm and a wheelbase bandwidth of 2750~2900mm, so as to meet the diversified and personalized development needs of users in the original hybrid era.
In terms of power, the native hybrid system will be compatible with the power form of "front-wheel drive dual-motor 3-speed and 4WD 3-motor". Among them, the dual-motor + 3-speed DHT technology can achieve a maximum power of 165kW, a maximum input torque of 510N·m, and an output torque of 4000N·m at the wheel end by virtue of the technical advantages of 3-speed, 9-mode, 11-speed, dual-motor drive, and dual-shaft drive, with a transmission efficiency of 97.6% and a four-wheel drive 0.01s response. This results in a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 7.9 seconds for the front-wheel drive model and 4.26 seconds for the electric four-wheel drive model.
In terms of range, the M3X super-hybrid platform will be equipped with CATL's latest M3P high-safety battery for the first time, which not only ensures battery safety from the source, but also enables the new car to achieve a pure electric range of 168km (WLTC) and a comprehensive range of 1300km (WLTC) with full fuel and full charge. In addition, the new car also supports DC fast charging technology that replenishes 50% of energy in 20 minutes.
In terms of safety, the model based on the M3X super-hybrid platform is built in accordance with the global N-CAP five-star standard, and the overall lightweight capsule design of high-strength steel + aluminum, and the two-horizontal and three-vertical enveloping force transmission structure greatly improve the safety of the vehicle. At the same time, the battery of the M3X super-hybrid platform adopts a symmetrical arrangement in the center, with guards and heat shields around it, and lateral protection reinforcing beams and an energy-absorbing structure in the threshold of the body, so that even in the case of extreme vehicle collision conditions, the battery cells can still achieve zero extrusion and zero deformation.
In terms of chassis and suspension, the M3X super-hybrid platform can bring better comfort through integrated functions such as the electric hybrid system, the Flying Fish chassis with the CDC electromagnetic suspension system as the core, and the queen's co-pilot. What's more worth mentioning is that the four domains of power, body, cockpit and intelligent driving also integrate the EEA electronic and electrical architecture and support OTA upgrades.
The Xingtu Yaoguang C-DM was also unveiled this time, which is the first model based on the M3X super-hybrid platform, positioned as a mid-size SUV, and can also be understood as the plug-in hybrid version (PHEV) model of Xingtu Yaoguang, which will be launched in the first quarter of 2024. In addition, the new Yaoguang (pure fuel version) will be released in April 2024.
The Xingtu Yaoguang C-DM was first unveiled at the 2023 Shanghai Auto Show, and then officially unveiled the interior at the Guangzhou Auto Show at the end of the year. The new car is a plug-in hybrid version of the model, so it also basically continues the overall shape and design of the fuel version of the model, the front face also adopts a borderless grille, the interior is a diamond-shaped mesh design, the upper daytime running light strip runs through the body, and there are downward extensions on both sides, the headlight shape is flat, and the interior is a matrix design, and the overall shape is fashionable and avant-garde.
The sides of the body are full and sporty, and the details also include hidden door handles, a floating roof, a rich waistline design, and low-drag two-tone wheels to make the car more stylish. The length, width and height of the body are 4781mm/1920mm/1671mm, respectively, and the wheelbase is 2815mm. The rear envelope of the rear adopts a black rear guard + a four-sided exhaust layout, which further strengthens the sense of sportiness visually.
In terms of interior, Xingtu Yaoguang C-DM also continues the interior layout and design of the fuel version, and is also equipped with a dual-screen design connected by a full LCD instrument panel + central control multimedia touch screen, and is equipped with a double-spoke multi-function steering wheel, through-type air conditioning outlets, and 3 circular physical buttons. The new car also adopts the EEA4.0 electronic and electrical architecture, has Gigabit Ethernet and Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chips, and has a built-in Lion 5.0 Lion Zhiyun intelligent vehicle machine system, which supports OTA upgrades. In addition, the new car is also equipped with a super ID function, which can be bound to people and vehicles through face recognition, voiceprint, NFC, Bluetooth, mechanical key, etc., to ensure the safety of the car.
In terms of power, the Xingtu Yaoguang C-DM is equipped with a plug-in hybrid system (PHEV) composed of a 1.5T engine + electric motor, matched with a 3-speed DHT transmission, and supports a four-wheel drive system. Among them, the maximum engine power is 115kW, the peak torque is 220Nm, the combustion efficiency is 44.5%, and the 0-100km/h acceleration time of the all-wheel drive version is 4.26s. In addition, the new car has an all-electric range of 165 km, a fuel consumption of 4.2 liters per 100 km, and a comprehensive range of more than 1,400 km.
In addition, in order to further verify the native hybrid strength of the M3X super-hybrid platform, Xingtu also launched the "Yaoguang C-DM 10,000 Crowd Test" plan at the same time. As the first million-kilometer crowd testing project for native hybrid in the automotive industry, the plan will take the platform's first model, Yaoguang C-DM, as the test object, and widely convene users, media, cross-border KOLs and other people from different industries and different car needs across the country to temper the original quality of the M3X superhybrid platform "real gold is not afraid of fire" through inspection items covering extreme challenges, reliability tests, performance tests and other inspection items, and the real evaluation is not afraid of challenges, which is undoubtedly the best embodiment of the brand spirit of "dare to surpass" of Xingtu.
