In a remote village in Vietnam, there is such an old man who, over the past 15 years, has built a cemetery for tens of thousands of aborted children, spending his savings despite his family's opposition.
In the face of doubts from the outside world, he still persevered, silently guarding these children and giving them hope.
So what was the purpose of this old man's doing? What did he do?
【Tens of thousands of tombstones】
There is a place in a remote village in the coastal city of Nha Trang in Vietnam, where there are tens of thousands of tombstones, and everyone who walks here will be shocked by the sight here.
The cemetery here is not as solemn as other cemeteries, but small tombstones are neatly arranged, and there are tenacious flowers blooming next to them, as if to tell the world that they are very unconvinced.
Those bright flowers blooming one by one are like happy children, welcoming the bright sunshine and playing happily in this garden.
Among the people who came here were tourists who didn't know why, passers-by who sighed, mothers who wept here, and the old man who came to clean up.
He gently swept away the dust that had fallen here, and gently pruned the small flowers that had been planted, as if he was afraid of disturbing them.
He took a break and put the small brightly colored "box" that he had prepared into the prepared tomb, but he did not feel relieved or sad in his heart.
After packing up, he returned to the childcare center where he had rested for an unknown number of times, and there were more than a hundred children here, but none of them were his own, but those who had been abandoned.
Today came a mother who was about to give up her child, and he begged the old man to adopt the child, and the old man agreed to adopt the child without thinking.
After putting down the items that the child needed, the woman thanked the old man very much, and then reluctantly looked at the child and left.
Despite the old man's difficult life, he still adopted the children, even if he could not eat and dress warmly, he had to ensure a good living environment for the children, and he looked at the children and recalled the day he took his wife to the hospital for a pregnancy test.
【Reasons for the construction of the cemetery】
The protagonist of the story is named Xu Fufu, an ordinary farmer in Nha Trang, Vietnam, who lives happily and healthily, and his wife is pregnant.
Originally, their lives could be called small happiness, but when he took his wife to the prenatal checkup that day, he saw a scene that changed his mind.
In 2001, when his wife was pregnant and wanted to go to the hospital for a check-up, Xu Fufu protected his wife with his hands, shuttled to the pregnancy examination department in the hospital, waiting for the doctor's call, and there were several loving couples in front of them, and the air was filled with the smell of happiness.
On the other side, the only women waiting for the doctor's call were alone, their faces were so gray that they didn't look like happy events at all, and there were more people in line than there were on their side.
He asked his wife very puzzled, only to learn that it was the fetal room, looking at the cars that were pushed out one by one, the white cloth covered the aborted babies, and the blood penetrated into the white cloth, which was particularly dazzling, and some of them seemed to have been formed.
Xu Fufu resisted the urge to vomit in his heart, so he stepped forward and asked the little nurse in the cart how to deal with these aborted children.
The nurse calmly answered his question and disposed of it as medical waste, Xu Fufu looked at the nurse in disbelief, and then looked at the child who was almost formed, feeling very uncomfortable.
Back home, Xu Fufu looked at the child that was about to be born in his wife's womb and decided what to do, and he couldn't sleep all night until the next day.
He immediately went back to the hospital where his wife did the prenatal check-up, and wanted to bury the aborted children properly, but the hospital refused, was questioned by the hospital and blasted him out.
Xu Fufu repeatedly emphasized that he would not use these poor lives to do bad things, he just wanted to bury them well and let them rest in peace, and after his unremitting efforts, the hospital finally agreed to him and let him try.
In this way, Xu Fufu began the mission of picking up little lives "home" every day, and every day after the operation, Xu Fufu carefully took it, and then helped them clean, wrap, and then brought it back to a small open space on the edge of his village to hold a small funeral for them.
Then he gently covered them with soil, buried the flower seeds in the soil, wrote the names he gave to the children on this small tombstone, and also marked them with serial numbers, and then put his hands on the ground, put his hands together, and pray for these little lives before leaving.
Xu Fufu hopes that these children can survive in this world in a new way, so he continues to live like this every day, he never complains, compared to the suffering that the children have gone through, what is the amount of the ground he dug himself!
But Xu Fufu's going out every night attracted the attention of his wife, as if her husband was hiding something from him, and under several inquiries from his wife, Xu Fufu also felt that he couldn't hide it, so he confessed to his wife what he had done.
The wife was very surprised to be obedient, he didn't have much opinion on what his husband did, but their life was not rich and the child was about to be born, so he hoped that Xu Fufu would focus on his family.
After listening to his wife's story, Xu Fufu didn't say anything more, just kept silent, and in the days that followed, Xu Fufu did not give up this behavior, but worked harder.
He saw that there were more and more children, and the small place near his home was not enough, so he used his savings to buy them the vacant land on the hill.
After his wife found out about this, she scolded him, thinking that he was crazy, and the two almost fell out because of this matter, and his wife asked him why he did this, these children had nothing to do with them, Xu Fufu looked at his wife.
At first, he didn't understand where his impulse came from, but when he looked at the bloody lying on the cold platform that had been pushed out of the operating room, he simply took pity on these little lives that had disappeared.
I wanted to do something for them at the end, so under everyone's disdainful gaze, I insisted on my behavior, which everyone regarded as crazy.
In this way, Xu Fufu quit his job in order to rest these babies well, and used his savings to find a good place for these children.
Xu Fufu didn't touch the ground every day, worked in the construction site during the day, didn't care about eating, and made simple little tombstones for those lost little lives at night, never stopping every day.
Gradually, the land that Xu Fufu bought was full of flowers, and the cemetery no longer made people feel sad, and when his wife saw the flowers blooming in the cemetery, she finally understood her husband's good intentions.
[The life of abandoned babies has improved]
And in the liveliest place in the cemetery. It is the courtyard he built, where there are hundreds of innocent and splendid children, who study Xi seriously, and sometimes gather together to listen to Xu Fufu's stories, and these children are also adopted by Xu Fufu.
At first, it was because her mother found Xu Fufu and wanted to find her aborted child, she told Xu Fufu her experience in tears, it turned out that she was poor at home and had no way to raise this child, so she could only do this, she was very sad and remorseful.
Xu Fufu listened to her experience and had an idea in his heart, so he went to the fetal room to persuade those families who were poor because of their families, as long as they were willing to give birth to their children, they could raise them first, and then wait until their lives improved, and then take the children home.
In this way, when everyone thought he was really crazy, some mothers who wanted to have abortions found him, and then entrusted their children to Xu Fufu.
In order to make it easier for mothers to recognize their children when they came to pick them up in the future, Tsui also gave the children uniform Vietnamese names, "Glory" for boys and "Tamu" for girls, and then added their own mother's name to the end of their names.
Within a few years, Xu Fufu adopted more than 100 children, and finally the hard work paid off, and the children who went out from here basically returned to their mother's arms.
There are fewer and fewer children in the cemetery, and there are more and more adopted children, and local residents and netizens know about this series of things and begin to help them, hoping to better improve the lives of children.
Xu Fufu used the donated materials to repair the cemetery and build a small building for the children, which greatly improved their living conditions, and for Xu Fufu he is not only the guardian of the place, but also the "father" of these children.
Xu Fufu taught these children by word and deed, and he hoped that when he was old, these children could also help more people in need, like himself, because Xu Fufu's selfless dedication spirit infected people, and the city has since had one orphan shelter after another.
According to statistics, Xu Fufu adopted more than 10,000 children in 15 years, and the small building he built has now become the home of more than 100 children.
【Conclusion】
Xu Fufu used his own hands to save one little life after another, so that they could regain their lives, so many years to send supplies to these children, and some people proposed to adopt children, but Xu Fufu rejected them one by one, he firmly believes that one day, their families will come to pick up their children home.
Such a person has dedicated his fifteen years of time to those children, and it is not easy to raise a child, not to mention that he has raised almost a hundred children, such a selfless spirit is worthy of our praise.
