On December 20, workers installed woodcarved couplets in the Gaoqi community of Apengjiang Town, Qianjiang District, to villagers' homes.
Gaoqi community is a demonstration village for livable and business-friendly rural construction and rural tourism in our city. Relying on the advantages of the Apengjiang National Wetland Park through the territory, the community has developed citrus, strawberry and other industries, and built a camping base.
In the second half of this year, the Gaoqi community invited members of the Poetry Association and the Calligraphers Association of the district to collect wind and create in the community, and took the couplet culture as the entry point, focusing on the natural landscapes and cultural landscapes such as the ancient salt road, the ancient post road, farming culture, and citrus culture of the community, combined with the production and living conditions of the villagers' families, and also made the couplets into finely carved woodcuts and installed them on the gates of the villagers' homes, so as to extend the couplet culture to the community and villages, and boosted the cultural revitalization.
At present, more than 40 woodcarved couplets have been "pasted" on the gates of the villagers, becoming a scenery suitable for living and working, and the construction of beautiful villages.
