According to Thai media news, recently, Ms. Tapeni, director general of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), and tourism bureau staff held talks with a number of executives of Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudia) to discuss cooperation and hold promotional activities in Thailand, including expanding cooperation with airlines to carry out global campaigns (Global Campaign).

Tappeni said the two sides discussed adding new routes such as Riyadh-Phuket and jointly launching marketing promotions. At the same time, the Thai Tourism Authority also plans to open a new office in Riyadh and invite Saudi Arabia to participate in a promotional trade show in Thailand, which aims to stimulate the country's tourists to travel to Thailand, including promoting Thai business visas to attract quality tourists.

The Tourism Authority expects at least 300,000 Saudi tourists to visit Thailand in 2024, generating 27.675 billion baht in tourism revenue, up from the previous forecast of 178,636 tourists and 17.12 billion baht.
