Among them, the top 5 countries in terms of cumulative number of tourists are as follows:
1. Malaysia 4,209,071;
2. China 3,322,070;
3. South Korea: 1,570,798;
4. India 1,545,411;
5. Russia 1,381,914.
In addition, data from December 11-17, 2023 showed that the number of inbound tourists reached 676,505 last week, an increase of 3.18% month-on-month, with an average daily arrival of about 96,644 tourists. This is mainly due to the start of the holidays in schools in Malaysia and the start of winter holidays in Europe.
Malaysia had the largest number of tourists with 104,838, followed by Chinese with 88,022, Russian with 43,738, South Korea with 42,948 and India with 36,968.
