Some time ago, winter was coming, and I just saw this electric hot water bottle engaged in activities, and when I saw that it was the Changhong brand, I felt very reliable and bought it decisively.

It's normal to use it for the first few days, as long as you plug it in and wait for two or three minutes, it will automatically turn off the power and get a hot water bottle with a moderate temperature.

But recently, there has been a burning smell during use, as well as the bubbling sound of boiling water.

For the sake of safety, I decided to use the old hot water bottle for heating water, and I was also going to take it apart.

Unscrew the screws on the surface, open the water injection hole to drain the water inside, the picture below is the water discharged, you can see a lot of black impurities, these are burnt plastics.

Seeing that there are no burnt marks on the surface of the socket, if you want to see the source of the burnt smell, you can only brute force it.

Cut open the hot water bottle with scissors and you can see a heating wire wrapped in charred plastic. It turns out that the electric hot water bottle heats the water inside through the heating wire, and at the same time prevents the heating wire from touching the surface of the hot water bottle through the plastic wrapped outside the heating wire, but my hot water bottle may have the heating temperature of the heating wire too high, or the plastic material is too poor and not heat-resistant. In short, the plastic has been charred and melted. In the long run, the plastic outside is melted, and without the plastic to isolate the heating wire, the next step is estimated to be to burn through the hot water bottle, so the danger of long-term use is self-evident.

It is strongly recommended that if you are using the same electric hot water bottle, once you smell the burnt smell, you should stop using it immediately, and you must not have a fluke mentality, safety first.
