In Zhoukou Xiangcheng, the main producing area, the city organized 16 agricultural technology expert groups to go deep into the fields of various towns and towns to guide farmers to scientifically do a good job in field management of low temperature weather to ensure the safe wintering of winter wheat.
Through on-the-spot inspection, experts believe that the rain and snow cooling weather has little impact on the first and second types of seedling wheat fields, which can increase the soil temperature and humidity of the first and second types of wheat fields to ensure the safe wintering of winter wheat. At the same time, it can also kill some winter wheat insect pests and reduce the pressure for next year's pest control and control.
In Wudi County, Binzhou, Shandong Province, more than 500,000 acres of winter wheat are covered by heavy snow, experts believe that this round of snowfall can replenish soil moisture, alleviate the possible drought of winter wheat, but also sink the soil, maintain soil temperature, and increase the stress resistance of wheat. At the same time, experts reminded that the cooling caused by the snowfall is a cliff-type cooling, which may have a certain impact on the wheat seedlings that grow vigorously before winter and the winter wheat varieties with poor frost resistance.
In order to reduce the impact of disasters on agricultural production, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs issued a response plan for low-temperature rain, snow and freezing disasters, issued emergency notices and early warning information for prevention and response, and dispatched working groups and science and technology teams to the production line of relevant provinces to carry out roving guidance services to help implement prevention measures for low-temperature rain, snow and freezing disasters.
Strengthen the protection of facility agriculture and animal husbandry to reduce adverse impacts
The low temperature, rain, snow and freezing weather this time has had a certain impact on greenhouse vegetables and other facility agriculture and animal husbandry, and all localities have taken targeted measures to strengthen the protection of facility agriculture and animal husbandry to minimize the adverse impact.
In the past two days, the heavy snow and cold wave weather have caused more than 20,000 vegetable greenhouses in Feixiang District, Handan City, Hebei Province, all of which have been covered by heavy snow, and nearly 1,000 vegetable greenhouses have been damaged to varying degrees. The local organization of agricultural technicians at all levels subcontracted to households, targeted guidance to vegetable farmers to clear the snow, strengthen the shed, reduce losses.
Huaxian County, Henan Province is an important vegetable production base, with a vegetable area of 148,000 mu in the county, covering spinach, celery, cucumber, pepper and other varieties. In Shigu Village, Chengguan Street, Huaxian County, where more than 1,200 acres of celery are in the growth stage, agricultural technicians provide production guidance to growers from the aspects of cold protection and heat preservation, spraying nutrition, etc.
Since December 13, Inner Mongolia has ushered in a super cold wave weather process, which has brought great challenges to agricultural and animal husbandry production, especially animal husbandry. In Ordos, the local government issued the "Technical Guidance on Animal Husbandry to Cope with Cold Wave and Blizzard Weather" to help farmers and herdsmen cope with extreme weather. Up to now, more than 11.6 million yuan of disaster prevention subsidies have also been disbursed.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs requires all localities to strengthen facilities such as vegetable greenhouses, livestock and poultry pens and aquaculture greenhouses, remove snow in a timely manner, scientifically regulate and control temperatures, do a good job in the operation of vegetable fertilizer and water in facilities and the prevention and control of pests and diseases, and do everything possible to reduce the impact of adverse weather.
