The square box exterior styling style SUV has now become a trend of new cars, and many brands have begun to launch this model, before Chery's Jietu brand has launched the Jietu Traveler, and the sales volume in November has exceeded 10,000 units, reaching 10,817 units, which is enough to see the prospects of this market segment.
At the 2023 Guangzhou Auto Show, Chery released a new square box SUV, iCAR 03, which will use pure electric power. It is reported that the pre-sale of the new car will begin on December 18 and will be officially launched soon.
The front face of the new car is very square and tough, and the vertical strip light strip on both sides of the headlights echoes the shape of its logo, which is highly recognizable when lit. The front bumper uses an off-road style design and looks rugged and tough.
The side of the body is also a boxy and hard-core design style, the front windshield is a vertical layout, while the rear windshield is a near-vertical shape, and the B-pillar and D-pillar are decorated with horizontal stripes, which looks very individual. The black wheel arches and lower bracket are also hardcore off-road styles.
The shape of the taillights echoes the headlights, and the I-shaped light source structure is used in line with the shape of the car logo. The rear tailgate adopts a side-opening structure, and in the middle of the rear tailgate is a small rectangular bag decoration, which is not a spare tire inside, but will have a storage function. The rear bumper is wide and stiff, with prominent decorative shapes on both sides.
In the interior part, the styling style of the center console is the same as that of the Jet Traveler, the visual effect is very tough, using horizontal and vertical lines, the LCD instrument panel is inline, and the central control screen is a floating layout.
The length, width and height of this Chery iCAR 03 are 4406/1910/1715mm, and the wheelbase is 2715mm, which belongs to the level of compact SUV, but the boxy exterior design makes its interior space utilization very good.
As for the power part, the new car has previously declared a version equipped with a single motor, with a maximum motor power of 135kW, and then there will be a dual-motor four-wheel drive version with a range of 401km for the entry-level version and 501km for the long-range version.
