Former England coach Vinables has passed away at the age of 80, having coached Fan Zhiyi and Sun Jihai at Crystal Palace

In the official statement, Tottenham wrote: "The club is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of former player and manager Terry Venables. We extend our deepest condolences to Terry's friends and family at this extremely difficult time. "According to the family of Venables, he passed away peacefully yesterday after a long illness.
Born in 1943, Venables came through the Chelsea Academy and spent his time as a player with the likes of Chelsea, Tottenham and Crystal Palace before retiring as a coach and transitioning as a coach. He managed Barcelona from 1984 to 1987 and won a La Liga trophy in 1984-85, as well as the League Cup in 1986 and a Copa del Rey final.
Venables is also one of the few coaches to have won the first five league games in his first season in charge of Barcelona. In 1987, Vinables returned to Tottenham Hotspur, the club he played for as a player, as manager. During his time in charge of Tottenham, he led them to an FA Cup title. After stepping down from Tottenham, Venables became England manager in 1994 and reached the semi-finals of Euro 1996. In addition, he has coached teams such as Queens Park Rangers, Crystal Palace, Leeds United and the Australian national team. It is worth mentioning that during his brief tenure at Crystal Palace from 1998 to 1999, Venables was the head coach of the then Chinese overseas players Fan Zhiyi and Sun Jihai. After the 2006 World Cup, Venables briefly returned to the England national team as an assistant coach.
Since leaving the England national team in 2007, there has been little news of Venables, and to this day, people have seen the sad news of his passing.
