Coach Wilder: Nganno's heavy punches can't be compared to Wilder, he hasn't been proven yet
Malik Scott, the coach of former WBC heavyweight world champion Deonta Wilder, said in an interview that while Francis Nganno has performed well in training, he doubts that Nganno will be able to land heavier punches than Deonta Wilder after wearing a ten-ounce boxing glove. Malik Scott believes that a professional boxer wears twenty ounces of gloves in training and ten ounces of gloves during competitions, and that's what real boxing is. As such, he doesn't think Francis Nganno will necessarily be able to land the heavy punches he's expecting in a bout with Tyson Fury. In addition, Malik Scott believes that Tyson Fury will have a world champion unification fight with Oleksandr Usyk late this year or early next year, and this bout is the real goal of Tyson Fury.
