Mediocrity and inaction also monopolized power for 18 years: revealing the absurdity of Brezhnev

author:Taro puree, coriander melon

Former Soviet leader Leonid Brezhnev is a mirror. He is both a foggy mirror of human history in the twentieth century and a special mirror image that led to the complete collapse of the state.

As the leader of the former Soviet Union who held power for 18 years, Brezhnev himself received the most medals in the world. But it was precisely this Soviet leader, who loved medals, who pushed the Soviet Union step by step into the abyss of "false reform". To this day, the harm caused by Brezhnev and his group continues to ravage the Russian people.

Regarding the history of Brezhnev's origin, the author has already described it in detail in the previous article, so I will not talk about it more. The following mainly shows the merits and deeds during his reign through some specific cases that occurred during the Brezhnev era.

Back in mid-October 1964, a group of conspirators from the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Soviet Union was preparing a coup d'état in an attempt to propel Brezhnev to the top. And by the time Khrushchev came to his senses, it was already too late, after all, man for the knife trick, I for the fish meat, it will not work without handing over power.

Brezhnev, with a mediocre talent, suddenly added a yellow robe to his body, and actually ruled the Soviet Union for eighteen years, which is simply a fantasy. But this is the case, how can it be transferred by manpower?

Although as an unqualified politician, Brezhnev was in many ways inferior to his teacher Khrushchev, he still understood the importance of totalitarian rule. For this, at the very beginning of his rise to power, Brezhnev was eager to establish a personality cult of himself. This cult has become a system there, it seems that whoever comes to power has to change the banner, so with Stalin, so with Khrushchev, so with Brezhnev.

Of course, in terms of good and great achievements, Brezhnev's thick skin is rare in Chinese and foreign history.

In Zhukov's memoirs, Brezhnev himself was praised, saying that his contribution to the war was great. However, this memoir was processed by the Brezhnev clique, and there was no such person as Brezhnev in the original memoirs.

At that time, Zhukov's memoirs had long been sent to Suslov for review, but the results of the review were always unsatisfactory. After a long time, someone finally hinted at Zhukov: what does this memoir of yours seem to have shortcomings? Zhukov was a little confused when he heard it, the memoirs are perfect, how I wrote I don't know what is missing.

Only later did Zhukov understand that what was missing in the book was the praise of Brezhnev. This is embarrassing Zhukov, you say that if Brezhnev is not added to the book, the results of the review will not pass. But to join Brezhnev is a fiction of history, after all, Zhukov really did not know that there was such a person as Brezhnev during the Great Patriotic War.

In the end, the editors of the publishing house came up with a solution: let Zhukov shake a false shot, and in the book it was said that Zhukov went to a certain front line to inspect and wanted to meet Major General Brezhnev (Brezhnev paid tribute to Major General in the war). However, Major General Brezhnev was not at the front at that time, and Zhukov did not see him in person.

After such a "false shot", news soon came from the Kremlin that the book was already in the process of printing. Such an act, with gold on the face, can be called a compliment!

During Brezhnev's eighteen years in power, Pravda in the Soviet Union was entirely its own back garden. According to Afanasyev, the editor-in-chief of Pravda at the time, it was an unwritten rule that newspapers must have a special page praising Brezhnev. Once the people below neglected the matter, and as a result, the Kremlin called that same night and asked why the newspapers did not sing the praises of Brezhnev.

As soon as these words came out, Afanasyev was in a cold sweat. He reviewed the matter only by chance and promised not to repeat it in the future. That's an immediate matter.

At the beginning of Brezhnev's power, he also tried to make a difference, carrying out some reforms in the economic sphere. Later, the welfare of the "oil age" caught up with the Soviet Union, so the Brezhnev period is also known as the "golden age" of the Soviet economy.

If Brezhnev had continued this diligent style, there would have been room for redemption from the collapse of the Soviet Union. However, the totalitarian color in the bones cannot be changed, there were many high-ranking officials under Brezhnev, but few people really did things, and even state affairs could only be decided by one or two people, namely Brezhnev and Suslov.

That's nothing. The pinnacle of Brezhnev's absurdity was the promotion of his son-in-law Chulbanov from an ordinary officer to deputy minister of internal affairs of the USSR, with the rank of general.

This became a joke in the Soviet Union. You must know that Brezhneva had been divorced four times at that time, but Brezhnev still ignored finding a partner for his daughter, and finally picked the handsome and dashing Chulbanov. To please his daughter, Brezhnev even signed an order to promote Chulbanov to general of the Soviet Union in 1981. It is said that Chulbanov was only 34 years old when he married Brezhneva, and the eldest princess was already 40 years old, so she was also the originator of "true fragrance".

Even if the Soviet Union at that time was more than ten years away from its collapse, but the Brezhnev group was so arrogant and lascivious, who could save it?
