Reporter: The first time you tried a spy war drama to play a female agent, why did you choose "Plum Blossom and Red Peach", what are the highlights of this drama that attracted you?
Guan Xiaotong: When I first saw the script of "Plum Blossom and Red Peach", I felt that the plot rhythm was very tight, and after watching one episode, I wanted to watch the second episode, plus Zuo Shuangtao's multi-faceted personality, she treated different characters differently at different times. This is a youth spy war drama, and it is relatively new, and these factors have attracted me.
Reporter: What is the difference between appearing in spy war dramas and urban dramas, is the role of Zuo Shuangtao challenging for you?
Guan Xiaotong: Spy war dramas and urban dramas are really very different, and the requirements are different from the lines to the body. Like Zuo Shuangtao's walking posture, eyes, and open tone, including sometimes turning into a delicate little woman to coquettish with Chen Jiaping, I think it is very challenging.
Reporter: What preparations did you make before you started shooting?
Guan Xiaotong: Before filming, I went to practice my lines and walking posture, that is, my usual every move did not let myself be particularly vented, so that these muscles of my body were regularized and energetic. I also watched a lot of spy dramas and movies.
Reporter: What qualities do you appreciate about the character? What is the most difficult point to grasp?
Guan Xiaotong: Zuo Shuangtao is smart, courageous and alert. The biggest trait in her is that she sticks to her original intention, will not be changed by the changes of the surrounding environment, her original intention is unchanged, and she is righteous. The most difficult point to grasp is her switching between different channels, there is her as an agent, and in the early and late stages, there is the real she who faces Chen Jiaping, and there is also the delicate she who is "acted" by the businessman, which is more difficult to grasp.
Reporter: What is the biggest similarity and difference between you and the character's personality? How do you handle it when interpreting? How did you get out of the process of playing this role?
Guan Xiaotong: The biggest difference between my personality and Zuo Shuangtao's personality is that she is bold and careful, and I am timid and intimidating. When performing, I use my eyes and some of the more dexterous physical methods to grasp it, as well as cooperate and communicate with the director and the actors around me. After this role, I played a delicate little woman again, just to know how to change.
Reporter: In the first few episodes, Zuo Shuangtao had a torture scene where he was beaten and pressed into a water tank, which was shocking to watch. What was the filming process like?
Guan Xiaotong: I had a mouthful of fake blood in my mouth. The director said to open your eyes in the water, I had this experience before, and then I shot it over and over again, and I definitely choked on (water), but it was okay.

Reporter: You and Han Dongjun are called the "Republic of China version of Mr. and Mrs. Smith", how do you evaluate this partner?
Guan Xiaotong: It was the first time that Teacher Han and I worked together on filming, but we had sung together at the party before. Because I think Mr. Han is very experienced in shooting spy war scenes, I often discuss together on the spot, he is a very dedicated and excellent actor. We both joked a lot, and the atmosphere was lively and happy. Both of us belong to people who can talk and talk, and the more tacit understanding, there will be small plays on the spot, and there will be unexpected effects.
Reporter: How do you interpret the emotional line between Zuo Shuangtao and Chen Jiaping? Did you make any details for the relationship during the shoot?
Guan Xiaotong: In fact, before Zuo Shuangtao first didn't know Chen Jiaping's various identities, I think it was a pure love line, when she knew Chen Jiaping's various identities, her emotions for Chen Jiaping would become complicated, for example, between her own task and Chen Jiaping's task, she had to make a trade-off. But when Zuo Shuangtao saw that Chen Jiaping was not actually a traitor, I felt that she was relieved, that is, "I can continue to like this person", the two are one heart, and an inner change in this piece is to make some details from the attitude towards him.

Guan Xiaotong: My favorite look is the opening set, the shape of the umbrella combed low ponytail and wearing a green trench coat, I think it is very sensual and cool.
Reporter: How do you rate your performance in the play?
Guan Xiaotong: I was watching "Plum Blossom and Peach", and I didn't know how to rate myself, I think I still have a lot of room for improvement, maybe I will have experience in acting in spy war dramas in the future. This is the first time, so I think it's better for everyone to evaluate.

Reporter: In recent years, what aspects have you paid more attention to in choosing scripts? What other type of role would you like to try in the future?
Guan Xiaotong: When I choose the script, the first is to look at the whole, whether the role is suitable for me, the second is whether I have the confidence to challenge, whether it attracts me, and whether this role is love at first sight. In the future, I have a lot of characters I want to try, the suspense theme is what I have always wanted to try, and there has never been a suitable opportunity, if there is a chance in the future, the first time I want to try suspense.
Reporter: You debuted as a child star at the age of 4, and now you are an "old man" in the entertainment industry, how to balance work and rest time?
