GTA 6 requires the reintroduction of 15 features from older GTA games

Here are 15 features we've seen in previous GTA games that GTA 6 needs to be reintroduced.

The first is the ability to recruit gang members, which is the last time we saw it in GTA: San Andi Similar, and honestly, I miss those days when we could take a few random gang members for a ride around Los Santos. They have helped a lot in gang wars and police hunts. Now fast forward to GTA 5, yes, there are gangs, but the whole thing of recruiting and wandering around with your gang, it's not the same. I miss the days when we drove into hostile territory, ready for any action. The gang mechanic in San Andreas is simple: you go to a brother and recruit them so you have a criminal partner, literally. Recruiting gang members isn't just a feature, it makes the game feel less lonely and more exciting to play. You have your team ready to plunge into the chaos that awaits. When we talk about gang members, gang wars are another feature I'd like to reproduce in GTA 6, including taking over other gangs' territory and more. Although there are several gangs in GTA 5, of course, encountering the Baaler gang will cause some sparks, but compared to the old GTA, it is different. I wanted to color the territory occupied by a particular gang on the map so that I could take over those territories, knowing that chaos could erupt on the streets at any moment. This is the real deal in the old GTA: every street corner can be a battlefield, and every alley can be a potential ambush point. This can also work like this: if we have business on the territory of hostile gangs, then these businesses can be attacked and stolen. This will force us to strengthen the defenses of the business, hire security guards, and even set up some surveillance. There really are a lot of options here, but let's move on to the next feature: the Story Mode DLC.

I'm not sure if this counts as a feature, but it's something we all definitely want to reproduce in GTA 6. GTA 4 has two great DLCs, and as far as we know, developing story DLCs for Grand Theft Auto 5 was indeed planned, but they never came out. There have been hints and references to extra content by Rockstar employees in the past. A story DLC project canceled in Grand Theft Auto 5 introduces a zombie apocalypse theme similar to the way Red Dead Redemption: Redemption was transformed by Undead Nightmares. This DLC plans to redesign 80 to 90 percent of the map to fit this particular theme. The next one is called Agent Trevor and it's the biggest one. Many of its remnants were found in the 1.14 patch script, including a complete task list, code names, and more. The entire DLC includes 34 mission triggers, 23 unknown missions, and 12 new assassination missions. They were all later adapted into the Doomsday Heist update in GTA Online. Another thing we know is the alien invasion, which is supposed to be in an alternative timeline with Michael or Franklin as the protagonist. The last one was called "Lucky" and was later adapted into the Diamond Casino Heist in GTA Online. So basically it's a Hollywood casino-centric story.

The next thing on our list is the six-star wanted rating. Well, it's not just about the stars, but it's funny that in six stars in GTA: San Andreas military vehicles, tanks, and so on appear. It's like the whole city becomes a war zone and you are right in its center. GTA 6 is supposed to improve the police dispatch system, which is a bit boring in GTA 5, and we know from the leaked news that it could be much better. We definitely need more diversity, more action, more police cars and the return of the military. Although the leak confirms that the upcoming game will have a five-star wanted rating.

Now, let's break it down. The six-star wanted rating in San Andreas is a test of how long we can hold out under the big gun. The army drives tanks, the sky buzzes helicopters, this is the best chaos. It makes the bet feel real. Moving on to GTA 5, yes, the police are there, but it feels more of a routine than a real threat. The scheduling system needs some stimulation, some unpredictability. It's more of a chase than a full-blown battle for survival. And let's be honest, after the chaos of the six-star wanted rank, anything less than that feels like a step backwards.

We all know that GTA 6 will have a better police dispatch system. We're talking about how the police deal with your diversity, some new vehicles, better AI. The leak points to a five-star wanted rating, but why stop there? Let's go up another notch, add that extra star, and bring the armored cavalry back. If not, let the fifth star be the one that the army joins the hunt.

The gym is another thing we last saw in GTA: San Andreas, and I'm talking about places where we can actually use it, not just a place where we can see it. Because GTA 5 certainly has a gym, but we can't interact with it. Now let's dive in. The gym in San Andreas is a place to build your character, literally. Lifting irons, treadmills, learning new fighting moves, it's all about personal growth, becoming stronger and faster. Come on, who doesn't love watching CJ turn into a beast?

Continuing to GTA 5, the gym becomes a mere landscape. Yes, we have a gym, but what's the point if we can't sweat in it? This is a missed opportunity to add layers of realism. And let's not stop at traditional exercises. Let's get creative: do yoga classes on the beach, do martial arts dojos in hidden alleys, be adrenaline lovers in extreme sports parks. GTA 6 has the opportunity to turn the entire fitness industry into an adventure of its own.

With that, we can make the next feature possible, and I'm talking about dynamic character models. It was certainly the last time it appeared in the classic GTA game of 2004, where CJ could be fat, lean, muscular or whatever you want him to be. It is based on the player's decisions about exercise and diet. Unfortunately, Rockstar didn't continue to add this feature to the next GTA game.

While later titles had custom costumes and looks, none offered the same level of functionality as the physical changes based on game behavior seen by CJ characters. The leak somewhat confirms that GTA 6 will have this feature, but everything we see on these shots could be canceled, and I really hope Rockstar keeps this.

Going back to the San Andreas era again, especially buying property, when I say property, I mainly mean houses. GTA 5 didn't let us buy a house, we definitely need this feature back, and if not, then at least the game should let us rent some house or hotel room where we can spend some time, such as hiding from the police or keeping a low profile after a fierce turf war.

Policing, firefighting, and paramedic missions: With the huge popularity of FiveM and role-playing, I'm pretty sure this will reappear, but not 100% sure. This feature is really fun when we get tired of just doing missions or when the story is finished and we have nothing to do in the game. I'll even expand this feature to include pizza delivery missions like in GTA: Worst City.

The call for these side quests is stronger than ever. Players are eager to play different characters, explore the city from different perspectives, and experience life on both sides of the law, even if only for a brief mission or two.

Going further forward, it would be a nostalgic touch if GTA 6 reintroduced bowling: a much-loved event in GTA 4, and I'd also like to see a Roman-related Easter egg. We all know why.

When we talk about mini-games, there are a lot that I would really like to see reappear in GTA 6. For example, darts mini-games and rhythm-based mini-games from GTA 4 test your timing and coordination in music- or dance-related challenges, just like in San Andreas. Drug Trading Mini-Game: A controversial but memorable feature from the battle for GTA's Chinatown. There may be more. If there are any mini-games you'd like to see in upcoming games, let me know in the comments below.

Next on the list is the Implementation Fight Club, which last appeared in the GTA 4 expansion, The Merry Tony Song. It allows players to participate in underground boxing. Players can enter a fighting arena and fight their opponents with their bare hands, earning money with each win. It's a fun pastime that offers a break from the main story, showcasing Rockstar's talent for creating engaging fringe activities with a rustic and authentic feel that reflects Villefranche's underground culture.

Similarly, the last thing to appear in the GTA 4 expansion pack "Lost and Cursed": the motorcycle club. The motorcycle lifestyle is woven into the game, with gang wars to fight and club friendships to experience. It's like stepping into a completely different world inside Villefranche, full of the roar of engines and brotherhood. We definitely needed something similar in GTA 6, in order to belong to some group and be able to hang out. It's going to be a great thing.

The upcoming games also need some dating mechanics similar to those we've seen in GTA 4 and San Andreas. These games all have their own unique way of handling relationships. In GTA 4, for example, dating is more than just a superficial feature. It's integrated into the story and the characters you interact with. Your choices have a real impact, and it's a cool way to see the more human side of Nico Bellick's tough-guy character. It also offers players additional benefits like special abilities or rewards, which is a clever way to combine mechanics with gameplay.

In San Andreas, the dating mechanics are more casual, but it still adds an extra dimension to CJ's story and his connection to the game world. It was interesting to see different characters react to CJ based on his appearance and behavior. With today's technology, relationships can be better, with better AI and more authentic interactions.

Another feature is graffiti markers. You may all remember it because it's a unique gameplay mechanic that allows players to spray paint on rival gang markers. When this feature is introduced early in the game, your character CJ returns to his hometown and gets involved in gang activity, you'll encounter rival gang symbols on walls or surfaces, and your job is to spray paint those symbols with your own gang's logo. It's a way to show your gang's dominance in different neighborhoods.

There are a total of 100 of these markers. By painting these marks, various rewards are unlocked. These include increased respect, weapon unlocks, and better gear for Grove Street gang members.

The last feature is huge, and I know I'm asking for too much: multiple cities. I mean, this series has always been about exploring vast and diverse environments, and it would be incredible to have more than one city. We know from the leak that Worst City will be the main backdrop for GTA 6, which is exciting in itself. Worst City has appeared in previous GTA titles, and it holds a special place in the hearts of many players.

However, the idea of expanding the game with some new updates and adding new cities is also interesting. Of course, we have to be realistic: it takes a lot of time and resources to create a detailed and immersive city in a game like GTA, so I understand that we may be asking too much here. But Rockstar Games has always pushed the boundaries of what's possible in open-world gaming, so who knows?

They've surprised us before, and they'll probably expand GTA 6 again by adding more cities in the future. That's the 15 features we've seen in older GTA games before GTA 5 release, and I'd like to see them in upcoming games. Let me know that Rockstar decided not to join GTA 5, but other interesting things that are one thing in classic GTA games.
