On the evening of the 26th local time, a fire broke out at a wedding in the Hamdaniyah area of Iraq's Nineveh Province.

According to the local safety department, preliminary investigation showed that the cause of the fire accident was the lack of local fire protection measures, not a man-made criminal case. The main reasons were the use of highly flammable building materials in the wedding hall and the lack of alarm and firefighting equipment.
