Title: The History of Israel and Palestine: An Inextricable Contradiction

In today's Israel and Palestine, both Israelis and Palestinians claim to be the owners of the land. However, in fact, the indigenous people of this land are the Kanan people, which happened more than 4,000 years ago during the Shang Dynasty.

According to the Bible, the Kananites are a branch of the Semites, and the Semites are the ancestors of the Hebrews and Arabs, the Hebrews are the ancestors of modern Israelis, and the Arabs are the ancestors of modern Palestinians. If we believe the Bible, Israelis and Palestinians were the same family 4,000 years ago.

Israel's history dates back 3,000 years. The first king of the ancient Israelites was Saul, who founded a mighty Israel and unified the tribes. After his death, David took the throne, established the Kingdom of Israel, and built the temple in Jerusalem. However, the Kingdom of Israel eventually split into two states, Israel and Judah. In 722 BC, the Assyrian Empire destroyed the nation of Israel, and in 586 BC, the Babylonian Empire destroyed the nation of Judah. This led to the exile and spread of the Israelites.

The land belongs to the Fertile Crescent and is very suitable for agricultural development. However, due to its geographical location and the attacks of powerful peoples and states around it, the history of the Israelites is a history book of war. Beginning in 63 BC, the Roman Empire occupied Palestine and imposed brutal repression on the Israelis. Subsequently, Palestine became part of the Roman Empire and was renamed Palestine.

However, after the rise of Islam in 622 AD, Palestine became part of the Arab Empire. Since then, European crusaders have waged several crusades against Palestine, complicating the battle for Jerusalem. The weakening of the Arab Empire and the rise of the Ottoman Empire further changed the rule of Palestine. It was not until World War I that the Anglo-French forces defeated the Ottoman Empire and occupied Palestine.

During the Ottoman rule, the predominantly inhabitants of the Palestinian areas were Arabs, and the Israelis began to organize organized, large-scale immigration to the Palestinian areas. About 600,000 Jews have immigrated here since 1896. This has exacerbated the conflict between Israelis and Palestinians, with various issues such as religion, residence and land triggering fierce clashes.

In 1948, the State of Israel was established and began several wars with Arab countries. Despite Israel's victory, conflicts and disputes remain. To this day, the contradictions between Israel and Palestine still exist and are too complex to resolve. In such an environment, only peaceful coexistence can enable both sides to live in stability.

Both Israelis and Palestinians carry deep emotional and historical memories of this land. It is therefore only through dialogue, understanding and compromise that a lasting peace solution can be found. It is hoped that in the future, Israel and Palestine can achieve peaceful coexistence, so that this land can truly become a common home.
