Abstract: The mausoleum of the 18th Emperors of the Tang Dynasty in Guanzhong is a valuable historical and cultural heritage left by ancient China to future generations, and the phenomenon of soil erosion in the ruins of the imperial mausoleum has intensified over the past thousand years, destroying the landscape of the imperial mausoleum. In order to protect cultural heritage, this paper uses satellite and UAV imaging products to estimate the development rate of Sima Dao Gully in the past 53 years, and establishes a soil erosion volume-area relationship model in the site area of the Imperial Tomb. The results showed that: (1) The site area benefited from the reforestation and grassland project, the slope cultivated land decreased, and the grassland forest land increased. The NDVI index of the forest area in the lower reaches Sima Dao reached 0.8, the ecological environment improved significantly, and the soil erosion grade turned mild. (2) In the Weibei arid plateau, it develops into an ovate gully and a cut groove with its perpendicular plane, and the circumference and area have a good fitting relationship. (3) The channel development model of the site area of the Tang Emperor Mausoleum has a good power-letter relationship between area and volume, that is, y=0.040 5 x1.493 6, the coefficient of determination R2=0.82, and the annual development of the trench in 53 years is 0.36 m/a. The above model can be used as a channel development model in the dry plateau area of Weibei. (4) The ratio of soil erosion and soil sedimentation volume in the site area was 38.5:1, and the ratio of erosion and soil sedimentation area was 11.5:1.
