Hungry and cold in the belly, he had to go to the field to pick beans, tomatoes, dig peanuts, sweet potatoes and cook them, and wait for the old monk of Wuyun to go up the mountain. Soon after, Guo Yi ran up the mountain panting, and when he saw that they had arrived, he said: "Master Broad went down the mountain first to welcome the old monk, I will come up first, and it is estimated that the old monk is also about to arrive." The three of them were busy washing and stir-frying, and about half an hour later, Zhichun accompanied the old monk of Void Cloud to arrive, and Yancheng ran to greet him, but turned into Cheng to welcome the arrival of the old monk of Void Cloud on behalf of Yunjushan. At that time, there were four monks living on Yunju Mountain, and Sex Happiness was regarded as the steward, but he did not live on the mountain, he built himself a lower courtyard at the foot of Yunju Mountain in a convenient place, he actually lived there, straight, pure, and wide and lived in three earthen houses on the mountain. Today, the old monk of Qianyun went up the mountain, ran down the mountain to greet him, and Zhichun greeted him at the intersection at the foot of the mountain, and Zhifu still lived in the lower courtyard. After Da received the old monk of Qianyun, let Zhichun accompany him, he rushed to the lower courtyard of Yunju from another path to take Sexual Blessing up the mountain, and only went up the mountain at dusk, Width ran before and after greeting, and when he went to the evening hall, Cheng lit the oil lamp, and Sexual Blessing asked the old monk of Qianyun to throw incense to do his homework. Because a dozen people came at once, the house was small, so I had to sit for one night. The next morning, Yungong walked to the half of the cattle pen and beckoned Yancheng to cut the grass and build a shed together, because his right hand was injured, he could only use his left hand to cut the grass, and when everyone saw it, they took away the old man's scythe and did not let him work, and the width, fruit, achievement, and inability to weave grass and plant piles together with the cow pen built a simple grass shed, and several monks and old monks of Qianyun who went up the mountain lived here.
After eating breakfast porridge after morning class on the 8th day of July, the old monk Wuyun instructed Buddha Yuan to go down the mountain to do errands, and personally led Guo Yi, Juemin, Wuke, Yancheng and Chen Mingshu's guards Zhu Jushi (externally known as Chen Jushi), and walked to Baofeng Temple in Jing'an County to worship Matsu Dao and the Zen Master Ancestral Pagoda. When I came to Baofeng Temple, I only saw that the dilapidated meditation hall was full of holes and could no longer be inhabited, and there were only a few leaky houses that seemed to be about to collapse. After worshipping the Ancestral Master Pagoda, the old monk Qianyun turned around and held Yancheng's hand and said: "The Baofeng Temple in Nanfeng County where you live now is simply the Zhu Bajie Dojo, and the Baofeng Temple here is the real Xitian Buddha Dojo, you have to take a long-term heart to help me repair this Ancestral Master Dojo, here is mainly you, I will cover all the construction funds, you can use as much as you want." Yan Cheng replied: "I can't bear to leave my elderly mother behind." Yungong said: "You might as well bring your mother here, just build a place under the mountain where the past monks and laymen can rest, settle your mother to live there, you can take care of your filial piety at any time, your mother can also see you often, and we can be at peace with each other!" Yancheng replied, "My mother is motion sick, she can't come here." After inspecting several ruins around the temple, it was late afternoon, so I headed back to Yunju Mountain in Anyi County. Walking to Perak Bridge, because of the heavy rains for several days, the flash floods and the rapid current, the bridge deck connecting the river is only a stone bridge that is not wide enough to reach, and a new crack has opened in the middle of the bridge under the impact of the flood. When people go to the river, there is no other way to cross, so they have to carefully cross the river from the bridge. When the old man crossed the stone bridge first, the new gap between the bridges suddenly broke, and the old man took a step with a flowing demeanor, and stood firmly on a river beach rock more than a foot high above the water in the middle of the river, and the soles of his shoes were not wet in the torrent. Villagers harvesting in the fields on both sides of the river saw such a miracle, and they all put down their agricultural tools and gathered around, clapping their hands in amazement and cheering. One of the villagers said: "Last night there was a thunderstorm, and we saw with our own eyes a big python flying from Lushan, passing under this bridge, flying towards Nanchang, and behind it there was a big dragon with its teeth and claws dancing to capture it. Now this old monk is so powerful, isn't it the Living Dragon King and the Living Immortal who came to us to ambush the python and eliminate the demon?" When the villagers heard the people around them say this, they spread the word to each other, and for a while, on the field road, people from four wells and eight villages rushed to watch, and gradually the crowd was crowded, the water could not be leaked, and the scene was out of control. Seeing the urgency of the situation, Zhu Jushi quickly connected the phone of the Jiangxi Provincial Government to report the situation, and Anyi County of Nanchang City quickly sent 20 to 30 civilian police to maintain order. After lighting with torches in the heavy rain, the old monk and his party were escorted to a hotel, and the crowd surrounded the hotel from all directions, crowded and unmoved, and I don't know how many people there were. The staff of the hotel found a large chair tied to a large square table, and Zhu Jushi Denggao said loudly to the masses: "Brothers and friends, we all understand the mood of the old monk, and ensure that everyone can see it, you line up in four rows in turn, walk slowly, do not crowd each other, the old monk sits here to meet you"! Everyone applauded warmly, consciously lined up in four long lines, and the old monk of Void Cloud ascended to stand on it and said to the public: "Hello to all good knowledge!" I am ashamed of my vain clouds, I have disturbed everyone, and I have sinned! I am not a dragon king, let alone an immortal, nor a magical power, I do not know the past, the future, do not know your heart, nor do I know your destiny, just an ordinary monk who has lived for decades longer. I ask everyone to take pictures of each other, look as you go, but also watch while walking, don't stop, don't ask, don't affect the people behind to meet me, please all of you"! After the masses heard the old monk's speech, they all passed by the old monk's table in order, and then left, and the flow of people went around until after two o'clock in the morning, and the crowd of onlookers gradually dispersed.
A promise is like gold. After the crowd gradually left, Old Man Yungong clasped Yancheng's hand and got down from the table, pulling him into the house to rest. Back in the room, the old man took out three thousand yuan and stuffed it into Yancheng's hand, and said very sincerely: "This money will settle your mother for you, you can pick up your mother to live temporarily in Baofeng Temple, and when the small temple under the mountain is built, you can arrange to live in the temple, and your mother is responsible for managing there." If your mother can't come, then you can stay in Nanfeng, and this money will be used to pay for your filial piety to your mother." Three thousand yuan was a huge amount of money at that time, when it was only a few cents to buy a pound of grain in Nanfeng County, it was a resolute refusal, or insisted on going back, and the old monk sighed again and again when he saw this: "There is a proverb: Although Yangzhou is good, it is not the land of long-term love." Once he lost his footing, he hated it for thousands of years, and then he turned back for a hundred years. After speaking, he reluctantly turned to the bed and sat cross-legged. On the morning of the ninth day of July, the flood water gradually receded, and the Anyi County Government sent a car to pick up Yungong and his party back to Yunju Mountain. Yancheng, unable to take leave from the old monk, walked back to Nanfeng County, Fuzhou City, Jiangxi Province. In the winter of 1955, Yunju Mountain passed on the vows, and the old monk of Qianyun wrote to ask Yancheng to return to the mountain to serve as an introducer, and at that time, Yancheng was the accountant of the Lujia Brigade (Lujia Village, Gucheng Township) of Gucheng Commune in Nanfeng County, so he took a leave of absence for seven days to go to Yunju Mountain to worship the old monk of Wuyun. As soon as he arrived on the mountain, the old monk immediately ordered the Zhike Herald Master to put him up and ask him to be the introduction and secretary. Yancheng immediately stopped and said: "I only ask the agricultural society for one week of leave, and I must go back on time, and if I overdue, I will deduct work points and pay a fine." He still wanted to go back to accounting, and the old monk didn't say anything anymore, and only lived in Yunju Mountain for three days before returning to Nanfeng. In 1957, Master Hai Deng, as an abbot in Yunju Mountain, gave lectures on the Lotus Sutra and the Leng Yan Sutra, and went to Yunju Mountain to listen to the sutras, and joined the Yunshan Buddhist Research Garden initiated by Master Hai Deng. On the ninth day of the ninth lunar month in 1959, the old monk Wuyun sent Jie Quan to send a handwritten letter written by the old man on the eighth day of the ninth lunar month from Yunju Mountain to the Baofeng Temple of the ancient city commune of Nanfeng County, and brought the old monk's message, the main sentence of the letter was "After seeing the letter, come to the mountain as soon as possible." Yancheng asked the old monk if he was in good health? Jing Quan replied, "Very healthy." At that time, he was acting as the accountant of the Lu Family Brigade of the Gucheng Commune, and it was when the autumn harvest final accounts were busy, and he had no skills for a while, so he asked the old monk to wait for a month after the autumn harvest distribution was over, and then go to see the old monk. On the third day after Jing Quan left, that is, on the night of the twelfth day of the ninth lunar month in 1959, he dreamed that the old monk of Void Cloud came to him, looking radiant and looking very healthy. Yancheng immediately saluted the old monk with five bodies, and without realizing that sorrow came from it, he held the old man's feet with both hands, and woke up crying. Turned to sleep, had the same dream and cried again, and woke up crying again, surprised in my heart, and did not pay attention to it. For several nights in a row, I woke up crying in the same dream, and without much thought, I was busy with the calculation of the autumn harvest. A month later, the autumn harvest work was basically completed, and he went into the city to hear about the shuttle bus from Nanchang, and prepared to go to Yunju Mountain to meet the old monk of Qianyun, at which time Fang knew that the old monk had died in Yunju Mountain on September 12. I remember that at about eight o'clock in the evening of the first day of July 1953, Yancheng knelt down to the old monk Wuyun at the Daling Temple in Lushan and asked him to tell him to meet him when he was about to leave, and the old man nodded with a smile at that time and agreed. Now the old monk of Qianyun sent a message three days before his death to ask him to come to the mountain quickly, but unfortunately he was delayed by acting as careless, and he couldn't regret it, and it was too late to regret. What is admirable and unforgettable is that for so many years, the old monk of Void Cloud has been adhering to this promise, until the person who made the wish has also been indifferent, he still keeps his promise, life and death are constant, a promise is like gold, and even several times into the dream to implement, the practice of true cultivation and practice in the life of the old monk of Void Cloud can be described as a canon of the opening performance! When the old monk heard this, he said, "I have lived and died for myself, and everyone eats and everyone is full." If I say that I promise to let you live and die, I will definitely lie to you, and I will never do it. Nevertheless, what I want you to understand is that the most important thing in practice is the double cultivation of blessing and wisdom, and Fang Keyou. A person who practices Mahayana Buddhism must not be willing to be a self-respecting man, always thinking of being good for himself, practicing the bodhisattva path, being good to the world, supporting permanent residence, and serving the public, so that he can be blessed and fulfilled, then life and death will naturally be freed." At that time, during the spring ordination period, the tiger disciple of the old monk Qianyun, who stayed in the cave of the back mountain, would patrol the perimeter of the monastery every day when the board for morning homework sounded, and when he came, he would hear the roar of the tiger from far and near, and this tiger would come down the mountain to protect the vows every time the old monk gave the vows. After the Spring Ring was completed, the old monk of Void Cloud quietly returned to the Cloud Gate Temple alone. One night in mid-September, Nanhua City was robbed by armed bandits, and when the old monk Qianyun heard the news, he rushed to Nanhua Temple from Yunmen Temple and convened a meeting of all the teachers and monks of the Discipline College. Seeing this scene, the old monk of Qianyun tried his best to keep it, but no one listened, and seeing this scene, the old man cried loudly and said: "I will do my best in the future, and I will never run a Buddhist college again"! Seeing this, Master Xuanhua was greatly moved, and vowed to shoulder the work of the Buddhist institute and maintain the normal teaching order smoothly, and the other teachers left one by one, and Master Xuanhua alone undertook the teaching and management of all courses in the college. After New Year's Day in 1949, the work of the Buddhist Institute returned to normal, and Shangxuanhua resigned from the post of director of the college and lived in the Tibetan Sutra Building to read the Tripitaka. Nanhua Temple passed on the ordination in the spring, and the old monk of Qianyun asked him to honor Azali. After the completion of the spring ring, he accompanied the old man to the Dajian Temple in Shaoguan, and later ordered him to go to the Yunmen Temple as the head of the class and lead the people to cultivate. In the summer of June, due to the humid and hot environment of Yunmen Temple, Xuanhua Shangren's body contracted serious eczema disease, and had to go to Guangzhou for treatment, specially asked the old monk for leave for treatment, the old man held his hand and said: "Don't go, you can't return if you go"! At that time, Shangren Xuanhua thought that he would return to Yunmen Temple after curing eczema in a few days, and it was estimated that there would be no accidents in such a short time, so he decided to go. When the old man heard this, he burst into tears, clasped his hand and said, "After you leave here, we will never meet again"! Shangren Xuanhua comforted the old monk and said: "When you are healed, please rest assured that the old monk does not worry about it." After hearing this, the old man instructed in a firm tone: "This should be the fight for the old son of Shakya, and the construction of a dojo for the ancestors of the past, with a bright future." Effort, effort! Do it yourself, don't live up to my expectations"! After the eczema was cured, he was supposed to return to Yunmen Temple after the cool weather during the Mid-Autumn Festival on August 15, but the traffic was cut off and he could not return, so he had to come to Hong Kong and hide in the Kwun Yin Cave in Tsuen Wan.
