NiSi close-up lenses are a great option for macro photography enthusiasts, especially those who occasionally take macro photos but don't want to spend a lot of money on macro lenses. Their basic lenses are generally telephoto lenses, such as 70-200mm or 70-300mm. NiSi close-up lenses only need to be combined with a telephoto or fixed-focus lens of about 70-300mm to achieve macro effects.
Brief introduction of the product
NiSi close-up lenses are rugged in construction, with two achromatic optical glass glued together, and the lenses are coated with multiple layers of nano-coatings for good resolution and good color reproduction. The lenses are also waterproof and oil-resistant coatings for easy cleaning.
The proximity kit contains a small, portable, zipped filter cartridge with two adapter rings (72, 67-77mm), so the camera can be used for lenses with an aperture of less than 77mm (aperture of 72 or 67mm). Of course, simply buy adapter rings of other calibers, and the close-up lens can also be transferred for lenses with smaller apertures.
Imaging diathesis
In terms of image quality, the results can vary, as the quality depends on the quality of the lens used with the NiSi close-up lens and the system we use with it. In testing, I shot with a Canon 5d4 with a 70-200mm/2.8 lens.
Using NiSi close-up lenses is very easy, just by screwing the close-up lens on the lens, you can shorten the focusing distance and see the world up close.
With the close-up lens attached, the working distance of the Canon 70-200mm/2.8 lens was shortened from 1.5m to about 20-30cm.
As shown in the image above, if there is no close-up lens, the 70-200mm/2.8 lens cannot focus at a shooting distance of 20-30cm.
For flower shooting, with 200 focal lengths, at a shooting distance of 20-30cm, you can photograph the flower buds of the microscopic world, and the flower buds outside the focus are occupied by the petals of the flowers themselves, and the flower buds under the large color block are dreamy and moving.
Obviously, without a close-up lens, the 70-200mm/2.8 lens alone would not have been able to shoot in any way, or you would have to spend thousands of dollars to buy a macro lens.
Close-up camera for tips
1, photographing flowers is best to avoid direct sunlight, and slight dew after rain is also an ideal choice.
2, shooting is best to use a tripod. There is no doubt that telephoto lenses are not light. If you close-up a small object without a tripod, it will be difficult. Therefore, stability is important when shooting with a close-up lens.
3, because the use of close-up lens depth of field will be relatively shallow, the real focus of the picture will become very small, generally recommended to choose F8 aperture and above. Of course, if you want a softer effect, the aperture of F4.5 - F5.6 is better.
4. Manual focus is recommended, because autofocus is often difficult to focus with too long a focal length. For film lovers with high depth of field requirements, it is recommended to use "multi-focus shooting + post-stacking", which can obtain better depth of field effect.
