The pottery works here are exquisite and elegant, unique. Through the works, we can deeply appreciate the owner's love and dedication to pottery making. Zhang Yongjun, the owner of the kiln, was born in 1961 in Pengcheng Town, the hometown of cizhou kiln, and was the pioneer of the first to develop the "kiln glaze" in the north, independently developed and successfully restored the "rust flower tianmu glaze" of the cizhou kiln, and innovatively studied the kiln transformation techniques such as "rabbit milli", "silver oil drop", "red oil drop", "partridge spot" and "wooden leaf cup" known as the panda in the bowl.
His ceramic works are deep and quiet, and the Song style still exists, although it is impossible to ensure that each piece of porcelain is fired consistently, but it ensures that each piece of work pursues the ultimate.
Nowadays, in order to pass on this skill, Zhang Pengyu, the son of Zhang Yongjun, has also begun to learn the cizhou kiln technology, so that the thousand-year-old kiln fire is endless and the porcelain art is passed on from generation to generation.
In the production of pottery, Zhang Pengyu has the same patience and persistence as his father, and strives for perfection in each work. In order to make a fine piece of porcelain, he spent three years and went through countless designs, changes, experiments, changes, and experiments... On October 18, at the 2021 China Jingdezhen International Ceramics Expo, his "carved peony lid bowl" was unanimously praised by people in the industry, he said that when his works were recognized, when he could also contribute to the inheritance of Cizhou kiln, the sense of satisfaction and achievement at that time was beyond words.
