Yutaiwei has made a major breakthrough in the network card chip market, and the company recently announced that its 10G 10G 10 Gigabit network card has completed pre-research, and the gigabit network card will be mass-produced by the end of the year. This is another important step following the company's successful leap from the physical layer to the network layer.
According to Yutaiwei's half-year report, the company achieved an operating income of about 108 million yuan and a net profit of -82.7609 million yuan in the first half of the year. The company's R&D investment reached 98.2244 million yuan, accounting for 90.56% of the operating income, an increase of more than 80%. The company said that this is to accelerate the innovation of core technologies and the development of products.
During the reporting period, the sales revenue of the company's chip products was 89.3844 million yuan, of which Ethernet physical layer chips were the most important product line, with sales revenue of 77.999 million yuan. Yutaiwei's core technologies include physical layer product technology and network layer product technology, covering the first and second layers of Ethernet.
In the first half of the year, the company achieved four achievements in product and technology research and development:
- The company verified the client test results of three new products, namely 2.5G PHY chip, Ethernet Gigabit network card chip and Ethernet 5-port switch chip, which performed well;
- The Company completed the pre-research of Ethernet physical layer chips, test chips for 5G and 10G products and time-sensitive network (TSN) switch chips;
- The Company will soon launch an automotive gigabit PHY chip, which has received a good response in mass production tape-out reel testing, and is expected to produce mass production samples by the end of 2023;
- The Company's self-developed two-port Gigabit Ethernet PHY chip, 4+2-port switch chip and 8-port switch chip have completed preliminary research and development, and are expected to produce mass production samples in 2023.
Yutaiwei said that the company will continue to strengthen independent innovation capabilities, improve product competitiveness, and contribute to the development of domestic network card chips.
