The Vermilion-backed ( Scientific name : Dicaeumcruentatum ) is a species of the genus in the family Peckeridae, found in Brunei, Laos, Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, Vietnam, India, Thailand, Indonesia, Myanmar, Malaysia, Nepal, Singapore and Cambodia. The conservation status of this species is rated as non-endangered.

The average weight of the vermilion-backed peck is about 6.3 grams. Its natural habitats include plantations, subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical dry forests, and rural gardens. It generally lives in the low mountains and tall tree forests, but can also be seen on sparse trees in the open hill flat dam area. The type of origin of this species is in Bangladesh.
