The taekwondo event of the 31st Summer Universiade in Chengdu will be held from July 29 to August 4 at the gymnasium of Sichuan University's Wangjiang Campus, lasting seven days and producing 23 gold medals. Some of the athletes representing China in the taekwondo event of the Universiade were trained in Hainan and are now stationed in the Universiade Village. Before the team members set off, the reporter also visited their training and preparation in Hainan.
At the Wuzhishan Olympic Sports Training Center in Hainan, the reporter met 10 taekwondo college athletes from four universities: China University of Geosciences (Beijing), Shenyang Normal University, Southwest University and Chongqing Vocational College of Economics and Trade.
