I read D. H. Lawrence's "Lady Chatterley's Lover," and later read Lawrence's novels "Son and Lover," "Woman in Love," "Rainbow," and "White Peacock" intermittently

author:A certain lady Tao

After reading D. H. Lawrence's "Lady Chatterley's Lover", and later reading Lawrence's novels "Son and Lover", "Woman in Love", "Rainbow", "White Peacock", and the essay collection "Twilight in Italy", I found that among so many Lawrence works, I still like "Lady Chatterley's Lover", to put it as an aside, I prefer Lawrence's ex-girlfriend Jesse Chambers' "It's Not Me but the Wind". "Lady Chatterley's Lover" was controversial and banned once it was published because of its depiction of sexual details and unsparing praise of sexual beauty, and only then became a prestigious and finally became the author's label work. The book has been put on the screen many times, and today I am watching a new film in 2022 (I have seen the 2006 French version and the 2015 version starring Richard Madden). The biggest surprise for me in the 2022 version of the film is that the picture is amazingly beautiful, the green lawn and woods, the clear rivers and streams with flowing water, the bright yellow and bright flowers, the simple hut made of stone, every beautiful scenery is lined with the heroine Connie or the front is more of the back of the waist like Josu's clothes, skirts fluttering, does it symbolize that the vitality of life lies in nature, nature, and the flow of freely intertwined aromatic qi? In particular, the picture of Connie wearing a long dress with pink flowers, walking on the stone steps of the stream, in my opinion, has far surpassed the famous scene of running naked in the rain, the leaves on Connie's head are shining into a little bit of gold by the sun, the tree is bent half-across the river, and the flowing water under her feet turns into a silent blue at this time, which makes people suddenly feel like a fairyland! Another picture is Connie in her own home against the glass to watch the rain flying outside the window, the beauty with blue eyes and red lips listening to the rain thinking people through the window, which is directly substituted into Jiang Jie's artistic conception of "sorrow and joy are always ruthless, a step forward, dripping to the dawn". Of course, in addition to the beautiful picture, the story of the film is based on the original, reflecting Lawrence's eternal class consciousness, telling the story of the upper lady he is good at falling in love with the lower class man (as Hugo said, the stars in the sky fall in love with an earthworm), but also reflects the tenderness of the man that Lawrence has always been talking about, the film borrows Connie's mouth to say that the hunting ranger Oliver has a different tenderness than a gentleman, and Oliver also likes the writer Joyce and shares a common literary hobby with Connie. An English woman writer wrote a book to prove that Mrs. Chatterley was based on Lawrence's wife Frida, and it is somewhat similar to the scene where Frieda married after eloping with the son of a miner as a German professor's wife. The 2022 version of "Lady Chatterley's Lover" is more like a romantic love story, the background after World War I, the so-called Belle Époque, the noble lady and the guardian of the hunting ground at home are happy, only beautiful but lack a little depth. The author of "Voyage", which made Connie unwilling in the film, once said that this passage is the more connotation that the film should expand: "A person should not be a still life inserted in a vase for people to see, but a rhythm that spreads on the grassland and dances with the wind, and life is not an arrangement, but a pursuit." "Connie is pursuing passion, but more than that, she is also exploring life. #电影
