History says three kingdoms: thirty-four Tao Qian let Xu (1)

author:Qin Shi Han Tang

Tao Qian was seriously ill and could not be cured, so he said to Bei Mi Zhu: "Only Liu Bei can protect the safety of this state." After I die, you will welcome him to take over Xuzhou. ”

糜竺 (一作麋竺,?) –220), courtesy name Zizhong, was a native of Qu County, Donghai Commandery (東海郡, in modern southwest of Lianyungang, Jiangsu).

Lu Zhu is graceful and generous, Dun Hou is elegant, good at riding and shooting, originally a wealthy merchant in Xuzhou, his ancestors have been engaged in reclamation for generations, with servants and disciples nearly 10,000 people, Tao Qian was engaged in other driving when he was a pastor in Xuzhou.

After Tao Qian's death, Mi Zhu obeyed his will and led the xuzhou officials to Xiao Pei to meet Liu Bei.

It was a good thing that the pie fell from the world, but Liu Bei also knew that with his own strength, he could not keep it, and did not dare to take on this heavy responsibility, so he recommended Yuan Shu instead, saying: "Yuan Shu is near Shouchun, you can hand xuzhou over to him." ”

Chen Deng disagreed, saying, "Yuan Shu is arrogant and extravagant, not a monarch who can rule the chaotic world. Now we intend to gather for you an army of 100,000 men who can assist the king and save the people, and who can divide one side and protect the territory. If you don't agree to our request, we don't dare to follow your advice. ”

Kong Rong, the minister of the Beihai Kingdom, also supported Liu Bei and did not want Yuan Shu to enter Xuzhou.

He advised Liu Bei: "Yuan Shu is just a dry bone in the grave, not worth mentioning." He is not a man who is bent on serving the country, and with today's climate, he is only relying on the prestige left by his ancestors, and he is not considered at all. Your entry into Xuzhou is the result of the people's choice of a virtuous lord. This god-given opportunity, once rejected, regret is too late. ”

Liu Bei then accepted their request and concurrently served as Xuzhou Mu.

Kong Rong supported Liu Bei so much for his own reasons.

Kong Rong (153–208), courtesy name Wenju, was a native of the State of Lu (present-day Qufu, Shandong) and the twentieth grandson of Confucius.

Kong Rong's seventh ancestor, Kong Ba, was a teacher of Liu Yi, the Yuan Emperor of the Western Han Dynasty, and an official to the service. His father, Kong Zhou, was a former lieutenant of Taishan.

Kong Rong is very intelligent, rarely talented, eager to learn by nature, and well-read.

Speaking of Kong Rong, the most famous is the story of "Kong Rong makes pears".

The story of Kong Rong's pear was first found in the "ShiShu Xinyu Shu" annotated in the "Book of Continuation of The Han Dynasty".

When Kong Rong was four years old, he ate pears with his brothers and took the youngest pear to eat.

His father, Kong Zhou, felt strange and asked him, "You took the pear first, why don't you choose the big one?" ”

Kong Rong replied, "I am a child, and I should take the small one according to the law." ”

The four-year-old was amazed that a four-year-old could say such a thing.

The "Three Character Classic" also compiles this story into ballads and songs, including the phrase "melting four years old, making pears".

At the age of ten, Kong Rong followed his father Kong Zhou to Luoyang, the capital of Beijing.

Henan Yin Li Bing ranked first among the "Eight Juns", known as the "Model of the World", and his name moved the world.

Li Bing had a lonely personality and was not good at communication, only regarded Xun Shu and Chen Yu of the same county as teachers and friends, and never casually received scholars and guests.

He instructed the servants who guarded the gates of the palace, who were not contemporary celebrities or who had been friends for generations, not to be informed, not to be allowed to enter the door.

Kong Rong was very curious about Li Ping and wanted to see what kind of a person he was, so he deliberately went to Li Ping's house and knocked on the door, saying to the person who was guarding the door: "I am Li Jun's tong family disciple." ”

The gatekeeper reported to Li Ping, who asked Kong Rong to meet him.

He asked Kong Rong, "Did Gao Ming's grandfather ever have a friendship with me?" ”

Kong Rong replied, "Yes." My ancestor Confucius and your ancestor Li Laojun are synonymous with virtue and are teachers and friends. Well, I Kong Rong and you for the generations of family. ”

Those who were present were amazed at his young age and listened to his witty answers.

Taizhong Doctor Chen Wei arrived later, and the people present told him about it.

Chen Wei said disapprovingly, "Oh, when people are young, they are smart, but when they grow up, they may not be of great use." ”

Kong Rong continued his words and retorted, "According to what you said, could it be that you were quite smart when you were young?" ”

Li Bing laughed and said, "You will definitely have a great future in the future." ”
