Yonhap News Agency reported on August 13 that the Central District Court in Seoul, South Korea, conducted a pre-trial on the 13th on the case of Former Representative Leung Hyun Seok of YG Entertainment suspected of intimidation crimes, and Leung Hyun Seok denied the relevant allegations in court.

As the defendant was not obliged to attend the pre-trial, Leung Hyun-seok did not appear in court that day. Leung Hyun-suk's defense lawyer denied the allegations, saying that although the defendant had met and talked with whistleblower A, he had never forced or asked A to give perjury. The lawyer suspected of being accused of using money to bribe Kim, a former employee of YG Entertainment A, also denied all the allegations on the same day.

In August 2016, A was investigated by the police for drug involvement and confessed that former member of the boy band iKON B.I (Kim Han-bin) had purchased drugs, after which Leung Hyun-seok was suspected of co-opting and intimidating A into changing his confession at the cost of providing legal fees, obstructing the police investigation. In addition, in November, The Seoul Western District Court sentenced Mr. Leung Hyun-suk to 15 million won (about 83,000 yuan) for gambling in the United States.
