The Seoul Central District Court today heard Leung Hyun Seok's alleged coercion of others to commit perjury, and Leung Hyun Seok denied all the prosecution's allegations through legal representatives.
The prosecution accused Leung Hyun-suk of calling A to YG Entertainment Company after learning that victim A had confessed that the company's artist B.I was involved in drugs when he was under police investigation, and threatened A with "I have a relationship with the police, I can see your confession" and "kill you one to me at all", and finally forced A to overturn the original confession in the subsequent police investigation, insisting that B.I had nothing to do with the drug case. Leung Hyun-suk's legal representative denied all the prosecution's allegations at today's trial, arguing that although Leung Hyun-suk met with A during her police investigation, he never forced A to retract his confession or give perjury.
Leung Hyun Seok is suspected of coercing A into perjury while under police investigation in August 2016, asking him to confess that B.I had nothing to do with the drug case, when A was being investigated by the police for allegedly taking drugs and helping B.I buy drugs. The Seoul Central District Court's Serious Crime Division prosecuted Leung Hyun-seok and B.I. in May, respectively, and the B.I drug abuse case will be heard on the 27th of this month.
