At the launching ceremony, Zhang Shuyuan, representative of the Department of Electronic Engineering of Tsinghua University, shared the team's R&D process and thinking on artificial intelligence and robotics on behalf of the outstanding award-winning project team of the 3rd "Tsinghua University Guoqiang Research Institute Cup".

It is reported that the competition has set up a "technological innovation competition" for global start-ups and innovation teams and a "construction robot Tsinghua student special competition" for Tsinghua students, and plans to hold the Tsinghua student competition from June to September and the technological innovation competition from September to December. On the basis of the original four major competition areas of Bohai Rim, Yangtze River Delta, Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao and Central and Western Divisions, the competition will add a special promotion match in Sichuan-Chongqing region.

The technology innovation competition will focus on "artificial intelligence innovative technologies that can be applied to robots", focusing on the collection of innovative technologies and their applications in the fields of unmanned systems, intelligent perception, and human-machine hybrid.

This year's Tsinghua Student Competition will set up a proposition group and a creative group, which will hold the preliminary and final rounds respectively, and will organize training and exchange activities before the final. Among them, the proposition group has a total of 3 propositions, including "multi-sensor fusion dead reckoning of mobile robots in complex construction environment", "chassis path planning of robot construction scenes" and "robot construction and scheduling efficiency prediction design", and the creative group focuses on the theme of "big language model, AIGC application and innovation in the field of construction robots", under which the participating teams can freely design technical solutions.
