On the morning of June 10th, the exhibition and sales of agricultural products of "Meeting with 'Li' and Winning the Fruit King" was held in Sanhua Village, the origin of Sanhua Li. Deputy County Magistrate Li Guohong, the main responsible comrades of Longxian Town Government, County Agriculture and Rural Bureau, and County Culture, Radio, Tourism and Sports Bureau, relevant responsible comrades of the county government office, each town party committee or government, and relevant units directly under the county, expert representatives of the Provincial Academy of Agricultural Sciences, representatives of Fucun Company in each town of Qiangzhen, representatives of the County Sanhua Lijiuxian Peach Industry Association and the majority of tourists witnessed the birth of the Sanhua Li Top Ten Fruit Kings in Wengyuan County in 2023.
The reporter saw at the event site that a basket of Sanhua plums with large fruit circles was placed in the selection area of the top ten fruit kings. The judges tasted the fruits, exchanged opinions, and used professional instruments to measure the sugar content and sugar-acid ratio of the fruit.
It is understood that a total of Sanhua Li from 20 orchards were shortlisted for the "Top Ten Fruit Kings" final, and the jury composed of researchers from the Institute of Pomology of Guangdong Academy of Agricultural Sciences, fruit tree experts from Zhongkai College of Agricultural Engineering, and senior agronomists of the County Agricultural Technology Extension Office scored from the appearance, taste, quality and other aspects of Sanhua Li, and finally selected the "2023 Wengyuan County Sanhua Li Top Ten Fruit Kings".
On behalf of the People's Government of Wengyuan County, Li Guohong extended a warm welcome to all the leaders, guests, exhibitors and association experts who attended the scene, saying that this exhibition and sales activity is not only a grand event to appreciate Wengyuan Sanhua Li, but also a grand event to promote the marketing of characteristic agricultural products in our county and enhance the popularity and reputation of agricultural products. It is hoped that everyone will use this exhibition and sales activity as a platform to strengthen exchanges and cooperation, share new opportunities for development with Wengyuan, and continuously polish the golden signboard of "China's Sanhua Li Hometown", so as to provide strong impetus for accelerating the construction of an agricultural strong county.
The folk programs in the performance area were also very exciting, and the performances of intangible cultural heritage items "Dancing Cart" and "Dancing Carp" carried more than a year of beautiful meanings pushed the atmosphere of the event to a climax.
After the professional judges and scores, Sanhua Li from ten units, including Zhenhua Sanhua Li Professional Cooperative in Wengyuan County, Fengteng Agricultural Professional Cooperative in Wengyuan County, and Huang Chifeng Orchard in Qunpi Village in Longxian Town, stood out and won the title of "2023 Wengyuan County Sanhua Li Top Ten Fruit Kings". The main responsible comrades of the County Agriculture and Rural Bureau and Longxian Town Government awarded medals to the winning orchards.
Sanhua Li growers have said that this year's Sanhua Li Cultural Tourism Festival series of activities are rich and colorful, which effectively allows Weng Yuan Sanhua Li to go further and sell more "beautiful", and the majority of growers have more confidence in the development of Sanhua Li industry.
