Sunset Dongdan is a cherished annual tradition held in what many consider to be the "holy place" of Chinese street ball. As in previous years, Jordan Brand is preparing several sneakers for the tournament, including not only the Air Jordan 37 Low, but also this Air Jordan 5 Low.
Unlike its counterparts above, as well as those from previous years, the Air Jordan 5 Low "Dongdan" is far less indulgent in design. Bolder and more colorful details are grouped into soles, accents and insoles, with pink, violet and sky-inspired murals respectively. Most of the rest of the shoe comes in neutral colors: for example, the upper is almost entirely black with white stitching and achromatic, opaque mesh, and a silver metal tongue located at the top and adjacent positions.
