It is reported that Apple's latest patent shows that Apple plans to add a camera to the back of the Apple Watch, so that the wearer can take Face ID images, generate 2D/3D virtual avatars that can be used in Apple Watch and Apple headsets, and act as controllers to communicate with each other in virtual scenes.
Apple has always been obsessed with equipping the Apple Watch with a camera, and from 2013 to the present, there have been related patent applications. Examples include a camera on the rotatable crown, a detachable bottom camera and a rotatable camera at the end of the strap. As we all know, the battery life of the Apple Watch itself is not strong, if the battery capacity is compromised for the purpose of taking pictures, then the battery life will be shorter, and it is obviously not in line with Apple's own style.
In addition, there have also been third-party companies to Apple Watch to make a camera embedded strap, a combination of main lens + selfie camera, which can be used for about a day after a full charge and can be synchronized to the iPhone. The well-known children's watch manufacturer Xiao Genius not only equipped the camera on the smart watch, but also installed the front and rear dual cameras. I don't know if Apple's Apple Watch designers will have a little more inspiration when they see it.
