Kobe Bryant was a late American professional basketball player nicknamed "The Black Mamba." He was born in 1978 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to the son of former NBA player Joe Bryant. Kobe Bryant showed outstanding basketball talent in high school and was once known as "the most talented new star of the 08 Olympic Games" and "leader of the times". He was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers in 1996 and began his NBA career. In a 20-year career, Bryant has won 5 NBA championships, 2 NBA Finals MVPs, 1 regular season MVP, 18 All-Stars, 4 All-Star MVPs and 2 scoring titles. In April 2016, Bryant retired after a game against the Utah Jazz, and his retired jersey numbers 8 and 24 were permanently eliminated by the Lakers. In 2018, Bryant was elected to the NBA Hall of Fame. Unfortunately, Bryant and his daughter Gianna died in a helicopter crash on January 26, 2020.
