The Imperial Tomb of "Handan, Hebei" after a thousand years of examination looking for the burial place of Emperor Wucheng of the Northern Qi Dynasty in the farmland

author:Tang Shi Starlight

After leaving Otsuka-ying Village, we headed northwest of Fuyangying Village, ready to look for the lower M26, 27 and 28.

Speculating about these three tombs, I suspect that it may be the Yongping Tomb of Gao Zhan, as well as some figures related to Gao Zhan, such as concubines, the heirs of The Early Sage, and of course, it may also be heroes.

The reason why it is believed that M28 is the superb Yongping Mausoleum is actually described when writing the M105 of the Fallen Flower Aozuka. One is that it feels that Fuyang Camp, Ōtsuka Camp and Wanzhang in Ci County are the core areas of Northern Qi, and the other is because there should have been a tomb in the north of Yongping Ling that was the burial place of Gao Zhan's son Gao Qi (related reading: "Hebei Handan" Cao Cao's Seventy-two Doubtful Tombs of the Fallen Flower Qingzuka Shallow Analysis of the Northern Dynasty Princes Buried Here).

The previous time we came to Yecheng, we were impressed by the big tomb we saw on the east side of the Fuyang camp, and felt that it was probably an imperial tomb, but because its north side was too empty, there was a clear difference from the M105 directly north of the M28, so in the end, we classified the suspected M22 or M23 on the east side of the Fuyang camp as the Wenjing Tomb that might be gao yan, and the M28 was tentatively designated as Gao Zhan.

M28 is located in a field northwest of Fuyangying Village, and there are two mounds in the southern direction of M26 and 27.

On August 14, 2018, due to the water and bumps in the ground area caused by the rain the night before, the road around Fuyangying Village was difficult to navigate, and when we arrived, we had to drive near the M26, so we had to change to hiking to look for it.

At the moment, the car seems to have some malfunctions, and the scraper that slides down under the front of the car makes us a little unsure of what is wrong.

However, the tomb is a big deal, and we have reached the vicinity of the M26, so we gave up the problem of studying the car and prepared to go straight to the field first, and then solve it after reading.

In the fields of August, green gauze tents obscured the view, but fortunately, the surrounding telephone poles became the guiding objects, so that we would not lose our sense of direction at the end of the road when we searched.

Drilling down the telephone pole into the cornfield, the shuttle came out and reached the section of the field.

Ahead is a "cliff", and the road to the mound is also hindered by the dense green yarn.

In the end, we had to stand and watch the M26 not far away.

The remaining enclosure of this mound is not too small, and from the map, the distance between M26 and M27 is less than 200 meters, which makes people feel very much like the tsukasa of father-son relationship.

But at that time, my speculation was that M28 was the tomb of the Wucheng Emperor, so there was still doubt that the owner of the M26 tomb was a concubine, prince, and even a hero of Northern Qi.

Why is it said that it is a hero, mainly on the west side of the M26, not far from the South-to-North Water Diversion Project, the famous minister of the Northern Qi, Sima Zi, is like the father and son of the tomb, M30, 31 is not too far from here, and the location of the two tombs is similar to this.

The cornfield that is difficult to travel, the owner of the M26 tomb who has no time to delve deeply... After all, this visit is a little more regrettable.

Regarding Gao Zhan's concubines and heirs, except for Gao Zhan's concubines and heirs, except for Gao Yu who was buried in the west of Yixi and Gao Qi in the north of Yongping Ling, most of them did not write down the burial place, according to the character of Empress Hu of Wucheng, it seems that it is difficult to let other women be buried with their husbands, and Gao Zhan, from the fourth son, King Gao Gao, died in Chang'an, only a small part of them flowed in Shu land, and later repaired their own ancestors during the Sui Dynasty, so if they are concubines and heirs, the number of personnel is also very few.

When Rummaging through the information, I accidentally found the epitaph of Gao Xuanjing in the Tang Dynasty. This Tang Dynasty Hezhou Assassin was The Great-Grandson of Gao Zhan, the grandson of Gao Kuo the King of Qi'an, who was buried during the Tang Dynasty in the western part of the Guhualin Village in the southern foothills of The Wild Horse Gang in Leling, Xiaoyi Township, Xiangzhou County.

Wild Horse Gang, which should refer to the vicinity of today's Ci County and Anyang junction, is also a place that I have not had time to visit properly since I passed. If according to the understanding of the Ju people, Gao Xuanjing would choose the tomb in Yema Gang, is it that his grandfather and father are also buried there? Even more coincidentally, gao zhan's favorites and shikai were also buried in the land of MustangGang.

But far from the core area of Northern Qi, living in Mustang Gang always makes people feel a little suspicious, and the M26-M28 in front of me makes me think it is possible.

However, the accidental discovery of the epitaph is also gratifying, at least it can be known that Gao Guoyi was not killed by Yuwen Yong because of the "rebellion" of the Gao family, and the fact is that Yuwen Yong did not only leave Gao Renying, Gao Renya and other sick seedlings to live in Shudi, but also left people such as Gao Jie, Gao Yanli, and Gao Guo, who did not threaten the regime.

Looking back at the tomb of the lost examination in front of him, if it belonged to Gao Zhan's descendants, it seemed that it could only be gao Yu, the king of Langya, and the children he had died in the first place...

Unsolvable questions, accompanied by the sound of walking through the cornfield, disappeared into historical time and space.

Putting out the green veil and returning to the fields where we came from, stepping on the undulating fields under our feet, hiding from the grass and trees around us, we continued to look north for traces of M27 and M28.

I have to say that the cornfield in autumn really increases the difficulty of walking the tomb, and I seem to lose my sense of direction in the cornfield from time to time...

Everyone searched for a clearing to go up and down the field, and I don't know how long it took, M26 had almost been hidden by the cornfield, and the Otsuka that approached with it was because of the nearby houses that everyone realized.

Maybe because the grass is too lush, or maybe because we are standing in a higher position than before, it is a bit of an illusion.

By this time I was confused as to whether we were in M27 or M28, because from here, there was no other shadow of Tsukasa. Looking north, a piece of tree that you just saw on the M105 also makes it impossible to distinguish its specific appearance.

Stopping in place, I was attracted by the small melon vines on the ground, and I couldn't help but look at the field scene.

Eyes full of green, can not see the direction of the road, can not go down, everyone opened the satellite map, hoping to find some traces from the satellite. However, on the satellite map, it can only be seen that there is a green space to the north... The scattered dots are more like modern tombs.

Because I will return later today, and the museum has been arranged in the afternoon, time has passed minute by minute in the search for the field, and the untraceable Tsukasa is a little lost after all.

Recalling the woods that you just saw on the M105 to the one that disappeared in the first three mounds, has the M28 disappeared into the field or has it been obscured by the lush vegetation of summer and autumn? I'm afraid I won't be able to get an answer today.

However, I feel that my intuition should be accurate, from the first time I came to Yecheng to the time I studied the map, I always felt that Gao Zhan should be buried in the M26-28 piece.

At that time, although I was in a trance, I thought that I might be the closest position to this emperor who was very contradictory in evaluation.

Writing this, I think there will be many people who will scold Gao Zhan for how bad and incompetent he is, and play the good cards of Northern Qi to the point of thinness.

But I have always believed that Gao Zhan was not an incompetent monarch, but did not use his power where the emperor should use it.

In his early years, he was surrounded by the help of Gao Xiaoyu, the king of Henan, but his own kingly style was also a non-negligible existence. The fierce determination to fight against Yang Yan and other Han chens, as well as Gao Yan's worries about the expectations of others before his death, proved from the side that Gao Zhan was not an incompetent person.

The dragon bathes in the sea, and for him, perhaps everything is under control, in order to swim in his ideal world, in exchange for a moment of relaxation on the day of the emperor... And since he ascended the throne, he has really embarked on the ideal path that Heshikai originally described to him...

"Since the ancient emperors, all are ashes, Yao, Shun, Jie, and 纣, how can they be different? His Majesty should be young and strong, and he should enjoy himself freely, and walk in all directions, that is, to live happily against the enemy for a thousand years. The minister of state affairs is divided, and he does not worry about it, and he does not do anything to be diligent and diligent. ”

However, it is undeniable that in the career of Gao Zhan's emperor, Qi Guoshang was full of literary and martial talents, and although there were cases of killing the clan, the external war was in an advantageous stage, and there was no major chaos in the internal state politics that affected the fundamentals. This hedonistic emperor was not a fool in major matters, so he let Northern Qi smoothly go through some years.

Having experienced several incidents of changing masters in the early years of Northern Qi, witnessing the high skill of relatives killing each other, perhaps more afraid of life and death in his heart, and deeply understood the principle of becoming a king and defeating Kou, the first to attack is strong, so he raised his butcher knife several times after he ascended the throne and killed those who threatened the throne.

From Gao Guiyan, the king of Pingqin, who was too prestigious and plotted to rebel, to Wang Xiaoyu of Henan, who had a deep friendship with himself, to the former prince Leling Wang For a hundred years to the proud son of the proud son of the proud heavens, Wang Xiaoxuan of Hejian ...

His killing was reviled, but there were many reasons why he had to do it.

Take the King of Henan. Gao Xiaoyu is the nephew who grew up with him since he was a child, and he is about the same age as a brother. From these things, it is not difficult to see that Xiaoyu's plot to inherit his father Gao Cheng is very good, and many of Gao Zhan's plans are often determined after discussion with Xiaoyu in his safaris. Therefore, as the person who knows each other best, Xiao Yu is indeed capable of replacing him if he wants to, and if Gao Cheng did not die, Xiao Yu may also become an emperor.

It is precisely because of the ability to understand Xiao Yu, so there may be a nightmare in Gao Zhan's heart, and the person who knows you best will always catch you off guard once he wants to hurt you. Trust needs to accumulate over time, but once doubt arises, it is even more frightening on the basis of understanding. It was precisely that Xiao Yu's pampering and arrogance, with no cover, fought with King Zhao Junwang, He Shikai, and Empress Hu, and let the rumors penetrate into the heart of this emperor bit by bit. Until the prince's wedding, Xiao Yu whispered with the imperial daughter Erzhu Clan that Gao Zhan could no longer tolerate this close friend. In fact, I think Gao Zhan did not mind that Xiao Yu had an affair with the imperial daughter, because his imperial concubine had many other women, and the matter between Empress Hu and He Shikai was not a secret, and he may mind the purpose of Xiao Yu and the people around him so close. I think that at the beginning, the King of Zhitian was able to ascend the throne, but also because when Zhisheng wanted to kill, there were palace ladies who informed the Gongjian brothers in advance, so how could he not care about such a move...

At the end of the story, Gao Zhan drunk Xiao Yu with thirty-seven glasses of wine, and let people feed him poison on the car that sent him out of the palace...

The collapse of a friendship still makes people cry, but the behavior of Gao Zhan is indeed hated and at the same time painful.

Perhaps the moment he decided to poison Xiao Yu, no one was more miserable than Gao Zhan. After all, it was the person who had the best relationship with him, the person who still did not forget to write a letter in Jinyang when he ascended the throne, advising him to drink with Fenqing in Yecheng... But there are no friends and no family affection in front of the throne, all he can do is to leave some posthumous honors for Xiao Yu and comfort the undead...

Gao Zhan is not a good king, but he is very real, and he vividly expresses the good and evil, bitterness and pleasure of human nature.

There are many more of his absurdities, but it seems that each one has a two-sided nature. And he was extremely fond of Heshikai, who could always speak into his heart, and also gave people a sense of flesh and blood, making people love and hate.

The ancestors of the ancient world, generally have great merit to the homeland, but the title of the ancestor of the highly skilled ancestors always makes people feel a little watery, although he has defended the land, ending the situation that Northern Qi has long been a brother and a brother, and the country is dependent on the long king, but whether it is the situation of its ruling or the heir chosen by listening to rumors, Northern Qi has been pushed to the abyss of destruction.

Those absurd stories, along with the summer wind, were scattered in the northwest of Yecheng a thousand years later, and because of the inability to find the grave this time, I was full of fear, who had accumulated four months of anticipation since the last time I came.

Everyone was in front of the Tsukasa for a long time, and they tried to explore the way without success.

Considering the time problem, I had to leave with regrets.

The summer wind blowing through the sorghum spikes on the mound seems to prove the fact that Yao Shun has returned to dust in time. Life must be full of joy, it is a beautiful pursuit, and happiness and sorrow are laws that are difficult to change.

Less than ten years after Gao Zhan's death, the fate of Northern Qi also went to sorrow in bliss...

Before leaving, he photographed the dog's tail grass fluttering in front of the mausoleum. It is nameless and suitable for burying the Northern Qi in the long river of history. Although it is not conspicuous enough, it frequently appears in various places, which is evocative. Just as the influence of Northern Qi on the Sui and Tang Dynasties, such as the fresco grottoes left behind, silently show the extraordinary in the ordinary, and tell the world with the remnants of the brilliant past that Northern Qi has forged...

After looking at the satellite repeatedly on the return trip, we all agreed that the final arrival of Tsukasa should be M27, and the M28 that could not be found on the satellite map in summer seemed to be able to see some traces in winter. It turns out that the distance is still far away...

After three years, I suddenly thought that the second tour of the Northern Dynasty tombs that ended in M27 had not yet been recorded, so I supplemented this article, which was a record of the Tsukasa that CiXian had been to and had ideas, but had not been written.

I had previously given up recording this trip because I might have missed the M28, but because I talked to my friends earlier, he thought that YongpingLing might be M27, and I couldn't help but take out the map and compare it several times.

It turned out that the M27, M28, and M105 were actually almost a straight line, but the remnants of the M28 were a little easterly, because of this, the so-called Yongping Lingbei made me suspicious again.

Although I am still not sure whether Yongping Tomb is M27 or M28, I feel super happy to think that I have reached such a close place as Yongping Tomb

Find time, be sure to go to Yecheng again when the grass and trees are not high! People who continue to visit my great land of Qi~
