1. Do not harden the soil
The root system of tiger piran is very strong and can survive even in poor quality soil. But it's just about survival, and if you want it to grow into a lush form quickly, you still need to use high-quality soil. Tiger piran is a shallow-rooted plant, the root system does not stick too deep, and the small shoots of tiger piran grow from the transverse roots in the soil. So you can't use too deep pots, and you can't use too hard soil to grow. If you raise tiger piran with hard, lumpy soil, it is difficult for new shoots to grow, and even if one or two grow occasionally, they will be very thin and unable to grow into robust leaves.
Hupiran prefers loose, fertile, well-drained, weakly acidic soils. If the soil in the pot is too hard, or even cracked and clumpy (as shown above), then quickly turn it over and change the soil.

2. Increase watering appropriately
Tiger piran is a very hardy plant, so it is especially worry-free to raise it, and it cannot die without watering for a month. However, after entering the summer, the evaporation of water in the pot at high temperature accelerates, and the rapid growth of tiger piran requires more water, in order for the plant to grow healthily, we still have to appropriately increase watering.
Usually observe the surface of the potting soil, and after seeing that the surface of the soil is white and dry, pick up the pot with your hand and try the weight. After you notice that the weight of the pot has been reduced, you can start watering. Avoid noon when watering, which is the hottest time of day. 3. Avoid strong direct light
Tiger piran is a plant that prefers light, and pots can be placed in a well-lit place in winter, spring and autumn for full sun maintenance. After the summer heat, it is necessary to put the pot of tiger piran in a cool and ventilated position, avoid strong direct light, as long as it is placed in a bright room with sufficient scattered light. If conditions permit, you can give it a direct light before 10 a.m. and after 4 p.m., these two periods of ultraviolet light are very weak, do not worry about the leaves being sunburned, and can also replenish energy for the plant.
4. Appropriate fertilizer addition
In summer, tiger piran grows quickly and naturally consumes more nutrients, requiring us to regularly top dressing to supplement its nutrients. However, when applying fertilizer, we must pay attention to controlling the dosage, and must not apply concentrated fertilizer. In summer, the weather is hot, and once excessive fertilization is applied, it is easy to damage the root system, resulting in fertilizer damage.
For fertilization of tiger piran in summer, it is recommended to use gentle slow-release fertilizer or well-rotted organic fertilizer.
