Tibet is a vast territory, the overall level of modern education of farmers and herdsmen is relatively low, and at the same time, Tibet is the only provincial-level concentrated contiguous area of extreme poverty among the "three districts and three prefectures" of deep poverty. Many factors have led to the high cost of poverty alleviation in Tibet and the difficulty of poverty alleviation.
At present, cities in Tibet have organized various trainings such as security, hotel services, building construction, vehicle driving, handicraft processing, bamboo weaving, Tibetan chicken breeding, vegetable planting, and tritium weaving to help poor residents get rid of poverty and become rich. Among them, the large-scale breeding of Tibetan chickens has brought hope to the vast number of poor households and opened up the road to prosperity.
It is understood that many places in Tibet have vigorously developed Tibetan chicken breeding, with obvious economic benefits and remarkable results.
In recent years, Nimu County, Lhasa City, has vigorously promoted the development of the Tibetan chicken industry, and focused on building an industrialized management system of Tibetan chicken breeding chicken incubation, commercial chicken stocking, and egg chicken recycling, so as to achieve large-scale operation, chain extension and industrialization development.
In 2019, in the Tibetan chicken standardized breeding base in Karu Township, Nimu County, 33-year-old Feng Hu came to the base as a "point-to-point" cadre to work, and after a year of operation, the base drove 165 poor people from 32 households in Karu Township to work.
The standardized breeding base of Tibetan chickens in Karu Township, Nimu County is divided into two projects: phase I and phase II. The first phase covers an area of 60 acres, a total of 25 chicken sheds, with a total investment of 23.7564 million yuan, completed and put into operation in April 2019, with a daily egg production of about 2,000 pieces and a current stock of 15,000 pigeons. The second phase will begin construction this year. The breeding base adopts the model of "party organization + leading enterprise + cooperative + poor household" to develop professional cooperatives for farmers and herdsmen.
In 2019, the first phase of the base project led to the employment of 165 poor people from 32 households, with a wage standard of 120 yuan per person per day, and the income of the project in 2019 reached more than 500,000 yuan, and the average annual income of 32 poor households increased by about 15,000 yuan.
In Shigatse City, Tibetan chicken breeding has been rapidly promoted, in the breeding process, the relevant departments to promote the "company + cooperative + poor households" and "company + industrial base + poor households" and other operating modes to help farmers become bigger and stronger.

Ge Ping, a Tibetan chicken breeding expert in Xiqin Village, Xiqin Township, Lazi County, has become bigger and stronger in the Xiqin Village Happy Tibetan Chicken Farmers Professional Cooperative, driving 53 poor households in Xiqin Village to embark on the road of moderate prosperity.
In 2013, the 300,000 yuan strong foundation huimin "short and fast" project won by the Xiqin Village Team of the Propaganda Department of the Lazi County Party Committee was like sending charcoal in the snow, plus Geping self-raised 100,000 yuan, and the Xiqin Village Happy Tibetan Chicken Farmers Professional Cooperative was established. After several years of development, the Tibetan eggs of the Happy Tibetan Chicken Farmers Professional Cooperative in Xiqin Village are very popular in the market and often outstrip demand.

Located in changdu economic development zone, Kanggong Tibetan chicken farm has invested a total of 31 million yuan, completed the construction of broiler coops, layer coops, incubation rooms and office buildings, and has bred and produced more than 60,000 red pheasants.
According to statistics, in 2018, the enterprise distributed 64,000 Red Lashan chicken seedlings to the masses, driving more than 340 poor households and more than 1,000 people to get rid of poverty, and the average household income increased by 3,800 yuan.
In the snowy plateau, governments at all levels actively support and coordinate various breeding enterprises, and small Tibetan chickens have "helped" the vast number of poor households embark on the road of moderate prosperity and realize the dream of getting rid of poverty and getting rich.
It is reported that the 2020 Tibet Government Work Report clearly pointed out that it is necessary to "build 10 plateau biological industry bases for barley, yak, dairy cows, Tibetan sheep, Tibetan chickens, Tibetan pigs, vegetables, tea industries, grapes, and Tibetan medicinal materials."
