This special train departed from Urumqi Station at 21:40 on April 9, which is the first New Oriental Express to run nationwide this year. The 186 passengers on board came from Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Sichuan and other places.
In recent years, China Railway Urumqi Bureau Group Co., Ltd. has continued to deepen the construction of the tourism brand of "Xinjiang by train", and successively launched a series of tourism products such as "Kashgar", "China Xuedu Altay" and "Xinghua".
The New Oriental Express tourist train is one of the products of the "Xinjiang by Train" tourism brand, and since its opening, it has been attracting many tourists at home and abroad with its high-quality travel experience.
The trip departed from Urumqi and circled the Taklamakan Desert along the Xinjiang section of the Southern Xinjiang Railway, Heruo Railway and Geku Railway. Tourists visited major counties and cities in southern Xinjiang such as Kuqa, Kashgar, Hotan, and Korla, and enjoyed the unique and beautiful landscapes of southern Xinjiang such as the Panlong Ancient Road, Stone Town and Xinghua Village located on the Pamir Plateau.
Zhou Youchun, 75, from Chengdu, is visiting Xinjiang for the second time. This time, she and her daughter came to Xinjiang specially because they were attracted by the New Oriental Express route around the Taklamakan Desert. "I always wanted to go to southern Xinjiang to experience the unique local culture and folklore, so I chose to take this bus. The New Oriental Express tourist train consists of 13 sleeper cars, 2 dining cars and 1 bar car.
There are 8 gold diamond carriages in the soft sleeper, each carrying 8 passengers, consisting of 4 suites, equipped with 1.5-meter large beds, independent bathrooms, desks, wardrobes and other facilities.
The remaining 5 carriages are blue diamond cars, each carrying 28 passengers, consisting of 7 soft sleeper compartments, and public bathroom services are provided at both ends of the carriage.
In addition to providing alcohol service, the bar car is also equipped with coffee seats, TVs, stereos, pianos and other facilities. During the journey, passengers can not only enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way, but also watch movies, sing and drink tea on the train, and fully experience the comfortable travel life.
The New Oriental Express tourist train provides refined services. After passengers make a reservation in advance, the train staff will place their luggage in the soft sleeper compartment in advance before boarding the train, and can also provide larger luggage check-in service after getting off the train.
Each sleeper compartment is equipped with fresh fruit, and the whole car provides 24-hour hot water for passengers to rinse at any time. Daily weather forecasts for attractions are also broadcast on the train, so that passengers can keep abreast of local weather conditions and add or remove clothing.
It is reported that this year, the New Oriental Express tourist train is planned to operate a total of 16 times. In April and May, the southern Xinjiang route will be the mainstay, and the north-south Xinjiang ring line products will be launched from June, and passengers can be led to enjoy the unique scenery of the north and south of the Tianshan Mountains in one trip.
Urumqi Bureau Group Company plans to open 100 special tourist trains this year, which will run throughout the year, and the tourism products will be more abundant to meet the needs of different tourist groups.
