When it reached the local level, in order to better manage, the tea production of each province was managed by the branch of the General Tea Division to manage the purchase, processing and domestic sales of tea, and the centralized trade system was under the dual leadership of the central and local governments, and the tea production in Yunnan Province at that time was in charge of the Chinese tea company Yunnan Provincial Company, which is the provincial tea division we are familiar with.
However, during this period, Yunnan did not obtain the right to export tea independently, and the export production and sales pattern of Pu'er tea was basically controlled by Guangdong Tea Import and Export Company and Hong Kong and Macao headliners, of which the situation in the Hong Kong tea industry has been introduced many times, and the Macao Hualian Tea Company that controls the Macao tea market.

In 1965, under the recommendation of Hong Kong Nanguang Company, Mr. Zeng Zhihua of Macao and four patriotic overseas Chinese took the meaning of "patriotic enterprises jointly operated by overseas Chinese" and jointly founded Macau Hualian Tea Industry Co., Ltd. Before the 70s of the 20th century, because Yunnan did not have much right to speak, and all places could make "Pu'er tea", Macao Hualian mainly wholesale bulk Pu'er tea from the Guang Tea Division and distributed it in Macao, which was the beginning of large-scale tea trade in Macao in modern times, and it was also the reason why Macao Hualian Company could become the mainstay of Macao's tea industry.
In the early 70s of the 20th century, things took a turn for the better, first the "Yunnan Branch of China Cereals, Oils Food and Tea Import and Export Company" and the "Yunnan Trading Company China Native Products Import and Export Company" merged to establish the new "Yunnan Tea Branch of China Native Animal Products Import and Export Corporation".
In 1973, under the background of tense relations between China and Vietnam, the General Tea Division no longer allowed Guang Chasi to purchase Vietnamese tea, but allocated more resources and delegated more rights to Yunnan Provincial Tea Division, allowing it to organize the production of more Pu'er tea to meet the needs of the Hong Kong and Macao markets, since then Yunnan Tea Division finally has a certain degree of tea autonomy, which is also the beginning of the cooperation between Macao Hualian Company and Provincial Tea Division.
However, due to actual national conditions and policy reasons, Hong Kong and Macao tea merchants at that time could not directly order and buy and sell in Yunnan, and the two sides needed to negotiate cooperation at the China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) and buy and sell Pu'er tea in accordance with the quota ordering system.
The so-called quota order means that the Hong Kong and Macao tea market sends the "head sellers", the most powerful representative group, to sign a preliminary purchase contract first, and the provincial tea department can arrange the tea factories of various major countries to produce corresponding tea, and finally pass the approval of the Ministry of Railways and use Hong Kong and Macao special wagons to transport to Hong Kong.
After the tea arrived at the station, the headliner merchant was distributed to the second-plate merchant, and the second-plate merchant was then distributed to the restaurant tea estate, and finally to the end consumer, at that time, the entire Hong Kong and Macao region, qualified to conduct tea import trade with the mainland at the Canton Fair, only 15 headliners, each headliner merchant also has its own second-plate merchant, no one dares to skip the transaction, and Macau Hualian Tea Company was one of the largest headliners at that time.
This production situation has been maintained until the 80s of the 20th century, in the context of the era of reform and opening up, in 1984, the State Council "Report on Adjusting the Tea Purchase and Sales Policy and Reforming the Circulation System Opinions" No. 75 document was officially released, in 1988, the provincial tea department in Shenzhen Luohu Port to set up a "foreign trade export demonstration point", the establishment of Shenzhen Fuhua Tea Garden Development Company, greatly promoted the connection between the Hong Kong and Macao markets and Yunnan production areas.
The birth of Hua Lian tea

Finally, it is still close to the market, Shenzhen Fuhua, which has close ties with the tea industry of Hong Kong and Macao, came to the city first, and reached a cooperation intention with Macao Hualian at the 1996 border trade commodity fair, which is also the first time that Macao Hualian Company customizes Pu'er tea in its own name.
The following year, a batch of wild magnification tree hair tea raw materials, pressed in Kunming into 500 grams of green bricks, and then transported to Macao, kicked off the prelude to Hua Lian products, this batch of tea produced for the first time is called 97 Hualian bricks, its significance to Macao Hualian is like purple sky cake to Hong Kong Nantian.

In 2001, Macao Hualian bricks, after more than 20 years of dry warehouse aging, the cord is brown, the brick type is still compact, the form of tea bricks is conducive to gathering fragrant, coupled with the fact that it has always been out of stacking aging, the aroma of dry tea is very good, the soup color is orange and red translucent, the entrance is slightly astringent, quickly dissolved, and turned into Shengjin back to sweet.

It turned out that the restructured provincial tea division was centered on efficiency, and the Kunming tea factory with poor efficiency has been split, and some of the original employees have been transferred to other tea factories, and some of them have set up their own portals, among which there is also a person in charge of the evaluation department of the former Kunming tea factory who is willing to take some employees and move to the new site of Shilipu to continue production, the provincial tea department appointed her as the deputy director, and often finds her to place custom tea orders, and this 99 Hualian ripe brick was born in this context.
Hualian company has always been more particular about the selection of materials, and this time is no exception, the general tea bricks are relatively coarse and old, and Hualian company requires the use of more buds, high grade Menghai area wool, such tender raw materials, with the general Wudui fermentation is easy to lose, so these experienced Kunming tea factory old employees, decided to use the light fermentation process commonly used in the previous daily custom tea.
