On the morning of October 19, Li Jieyun, secretary of the party committee and director of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the Autonomous Region, led a team to the Liujing Operation Area of Nanning Port to investigate and understand the operation of the port and the "Jiangtie-Hai" intermodal transport. Li Yanqiang, secretary of the party committee and chairman of the board of directors of Beibu Gulf Port Group, and Xie Yi, deputy general manager, accompanied the investigation.
Li Jieyun inspected the operation site and railway yard of the port area, listened carefully to the overall layout of the Xijiang Port and the introduction of the functions of the Six Scenic Operation Areas of Nanning Port, and learned in detail about the port throughput capacity, production and operation, and the organization of cargo sources.
At the subsequent symposium, Li Yanqiang reported on the "Jiangtie-Hai" intermodal transport, the current situation of the Xijiang Port, the construction of the Pinglu Canal and the related matters of the Beibu Gulf Port. He pointed out that at present, there are many, scattered and chaotic inland river terminals in Xijiang, and there is a phenomenon of illegal operation and disorderly competition. It is recommended to promote reform based on the successful experience of the integration of seaports in our region, combined with the actual development of rivers in our region, continuously optimize the development environment of inland river ports, and fully serve the economic development of Guangxi.
Li Jieyun affirmed the efforts of the Beibu Gulf Port Group in the construction and development of inland port terminals. He pointed out that the Beibu Gulf Port Group is the main force in promoting the construction of the new land and sea corridor in the western region, the international gateway port of the Beibu Gulf and the international hub seaport, and the Xijiang inland river port, and is also one of the top 500 enterprises in China.
Li Jieyun pointed out that it is necessary to promote port construction and operation from four aspects. First, strengthen market awareness. The Six Scenic Operation Area should clarify the development positioning, combine the current reality, strengthen marketing, actively organize the supply of goods, open up the market in many aspects, constantly adapt to the needs of economic development, have the courage to reform and innovate, stimulate business vitality, and strive to walk out of the way forward suitable for its own development in the fierce market competition. The second is to strengthen management awareness. As large state-owned enterprises directly under the management of the autonomous region, they must have matching management standards in enterprise management. On-site management, safety and environmental protection and other work, it is necessary to benchmark domestic advanced inland river ports, formulate specific measures, standardize port production and operation, set an example, and lead the green development of Xijiang inland river ports. The third is to strengthen the awareness of profitability. It is necessary to establish a strong sense of responsibility and mission, find ways to use various favorable factors, take the initiative to go out, continuously improve the profitability of the port, and make every effort to create greater economic benefits for enterprises. The fourth is to strengthen the sense of initiative. Actively strive for the support of governments at all levels in policies and resources, take the initiative to communicate and report on container liner subsidies, railway freight rates, etc., and strive to get more support.
