Let's press the start button again – written on the 110th anniversary of the Xinhai Revolution

A Taiwanese author who has lived in the mainland for 28 years

When it's time for you to write, it's time to start

When I was in kindergarten, I was asked by my mother to memorize the "Three Character Classic", until now I can still be catchy, and later dabbled in many world history story readings and various Chinese mythological stories, at that time my father was in Taipei Ren'ai Road Ring Office opposite the new Xueyou Bookstore was my favorite, I often mixed there until my father finished his work and did not want to go home, always forced away by the driver Jin Laishu; at that time, there was another favorite, that is, to go to the "Nangang Grand Theater" opened by the fourth uncle, because it was opened by his own family. So I often go there to watch movies, often watching it all day, sometimes Snoozing in the screening room when I am tired, waking up and continuing to watch.

I remember that before the second grade of primary school, I basically did not go to school, played around like a wild child, especially liked to stay in the countryside of my grandmother's house in southern Taiwan, in addition, I also went up the mountain every day to find my grandfather, crazy love to go hunting with his old man, and especially liked to catch fish in the mountain stream with his old man's beloved Wang Xingren, who was very yellow; but playing, not going to school, I spent more time lying on the tree outside my grandfather's stone house reading and looking up at the stars.

Later, the class tutor really couldn't see my wild child life, very seriously found my mother, asked me to go back to the campus to study well, they also arranged for me to study calligraphy and painting in order to let me learn "quiet", I fell in love with learning calligraphy at once, in fact, everyone did not know that I loved the stereotypical requirement of not having to lie on the table to take a nap, I did not expect that this actually opened the process of my painting submission and participation in the calligraphy competition, the first painting submission of the year was published by the "Chinese Daily", The first time I participated in a calligraphy competition the following year, I won the school championship, which was really shocking to me at that time, because it was so glorious.

My mother died in the third grade of primary school, and the type of book I chose became my own choice, when it was popular among peers to watch the French rogue detective story "Yasen Luoping", so I enjoyed it every day, even watching the class; and then on the vigil of the sixth uncle, my aunt's son dictated Ni Kuang's "Old Cat", which scared me half to death, I began to be interested in horror stories and science fiction stories; after that, my aunt often took me to the bookstore opened by my aunt, where I began my crazy reading era. Fantastic comics and various world famous books, science fiction masterpieces and Stephen King's horror stories occupied my intellectual world, of course, calligraphy and painting also became the external expression of my emotions, until I left Taiwan in 1993 to study in the mainland, I basically occupied the title of champion in these two sports in Taiwan.

Oh yes, there's also the sports thing, but that's not about writing and artistic life, so I won't mention it here.

After coming to the mainland to study, due to the pressure of schoolwork and the practice of turning off the lights in the dormitory at night, calligraphy and painting gradually moved away from my world, but in reading, the circulation among peers, Gu Long, Jin Yong, Wen Ruian, Liang Yusheng, Liu Renyang, Shangguan Ding, Huang Yi's martial arts, as well as fantasy novels and Murakami Haruki's books, became the focus of my reading, and at that time, I especially liked the mood in gulong stories, Murakami Haruki's way of describing affairs, and Huang Yi's views on the I Ching.

Later, when I first entered the social work, I was engaged in financial and legal work, because I assisted in the negotiation of game copyrights for clients, and I used to go to Hong Kong to get along with Gu Long and Huang Yi in those two or three years; at that time, I mainly discussed the licensing of their works on the production of games, but they were more often encouraging me to write the story I wanted to tell; to be honest, I was very moved at that time, but I needed to spend a lot of time on the job, so I couldn't do it. The most unexpected thing is that they all have a similar sentence to me, that is, "Don't worry, when it's time for you to write, it will naturally start."

spallation

After leaving the campus, my work has always been related to finance, and in my twenties, I became the vice chairman of the Beijing Association of Taiwan-funded Enterprises, during which I assisted Taiwan businessmen on both sides of the strait to complete some basic work, including the first direct aircraft flight between the two sides of the strait, and then served as the vice chairman of the Baseball and Softball Branch of the University Sports Association of the Ministry of Education of China, dedicated to the promotion of baseball and softball in Chinese mainland, and even in 2009, I opened the first voyage of the "Cross-Strait College Baseball and Softball Tournament", and finally expanded to promote the largest Chinese, Japanese and Korean baseball leagues in North China. With 27 participating teams, nearly 600 events are held in Beijing and Tianjin every year, during which foreign exchange affairs are also held, and the "China-Japan Youth Adult Style" and the "Japanese Culture Summer Festival" are successfully held for many times.

A few years ago, online games began to restrict the operation of foreign and Taiwan-funded enterprises, so as a financial adviser to several major online game companies in Taiwan and Japan and South Korea, I left this familiar industry. In baseball and softball, I also refused to allow American companies to use money to lure them into the university system. Also, I don't want to make cross-strait baseball and softball exchanges "purely folk" and quit categorically.

After getting rid of the business I never loved, at the instigation of my high school band brother Huadong (the lead singer of a band competition in 2020), I signed a contract with Zou Shaoguan, the son of Taiwan's veteran artist Xia Taifeng, and some friends to prepare for the Live House in Aruba, and successfully held the finals of the year's All-Continent Tigers Band Competition with the assistance of the late music creator friend Ah Wei, and signed a contract with the popular Internet companies LeTV and Youku at that time to prepare for online music live broadcast. But I had heart disease and high blood pressure due to unmodified socializing, and at one point I had several emergencies because my blood pressure reached 270, and not only me, but my partner Zou Shaoguan also died of throat cancer, so I also retired from this illness for several years.

After several years of medical leave, I was invited by a friend surnamed Feng to jointly set up an animation company, but I gave up because the development of animation production software was not recognized by the capital market. That said, at that time, I had already become interested in the creation of story scripts, and I began to participate in the framework of anime stories, and I enjoyed it.

Later, friends surnamed Pan, who were working at the Iron Chinese Network at that time, began to encourage me to create. He encouraged me to write the stories of my ancestors, because family stories are very popular in the literary world, not to mention that I will write stories about families in Taiwan province that everyone is not familiar with. So, I began to pick up the pen, but my thoughts were always chaotic, because what hindered me was the inability to clarify how to reflect the differences in the content expression of Hokkien style Taiwanese, Japanese and Mandarin in the text creation, so I was very distressed. Later, I experienced 7 months of gout and 6 months of physical recovery, so I gave up.

During my rehabilitation, a certain unit invited me to give an analysis report on Taiwan's social class, which can be described as my starting point as a real writer. It was a nearly 50,000-word report, and it took 8 months to study all the historical changes in Taiwan since there were written records, laying a solid foundation for my future creations.

At that time, the family's family friends, the original Yang Dengkui boss's left and right hand Wang surname friend came to me to study a Taiwan-related TV drama project "Mazu", I quickly made a report to discuss with everyone, so the initiator of the project Wang Lan (no doubt, is the original "company" tiger phoenix team Wang Lan sister) was very satisfied, and discussed with me whether I would like to try to write her story. Although the story was not filmed for various reasons, I embarked on the path of creating a film and television story.

The creation of film stories made me instantly solve the problem of how to deal with language and cultural conflicts and performance, so I began to create "Squire" from 2018, but the film project declaration was required by the competent authorities to be renamed "Que Zhai Chunqiu", and then created "Luan Jujie", "Spring in Pingtan", "Daughter of Arashi island", "Shrimp Mother-in-law", "Together" and other film and TELEVISION script works, I also began to create the novel of the same name in film and television works during the epidemic period, writing a series of horror stories and small fresh stories At that time, there were 3 different novel themes serialized on the starting point Chinese the Internet, all of which were clicked by the audience of different themes in the top 3, but later because they were busy with the preparation of film and television projects, they did not continue to serialize, and because they did not agree to sign a contract with the platform, the works were later removed from the shelves.

Film and television is the most complete form of contemporary art, and words are its foundation

My Greater China culture has a long history, including words are all kinds of art, especially ancient poetry and even literary language, and each short chapter contains a profound artistic conception.

With the evolution of the times, the form of creative works has changed, all works are more complex to create, and in more meta-form displayed in front of the world, the earliest is the collective creation of music and dance, and then the more complex multi-task collaborative creation of film and television, and gradually the creators have brought earth-shaking changes to human life.

Japanese film master Takeshi Kitano once said: "Film is a special art, and this way of expression is the combination of music, painting, poetry and other art forms." For me, cinema is the most complete form of contemporary art. These words have been on my mind all these years.

Many times I am always thinking about how to improve and enhance my creative ability, when I talk more with the film and television music creators, I find that the idea of writing should be carried out from the perspective of the creator of the final presentation carrier, for example, before I write the script, I must directly discuss the core of the story with the director, so that the story mood I create can conform to the director's "language" way and assist him in creating a satisfactory work; the creation of the script is different from the novel. The script should be described in a real sense of picture, writing a novel, that is, to give the words between the lines full of infinite reverie that readers should have when reading; gradually, I can better understand the words of director Takeshi Kitano, and I also deeply appreciate why Haruki Murakami mentions so many real songs in his creation, until later I began to think about music in the creative process, always thinking about what kind of music is suitable for my work. I even began to mark the type of song I suggested to use or listen to in my creation.

In terms of normal development, the creative process is created by the collision and collaboration of many cultures, which produces a lot of wonderful stories that are not known, which should be recorded in the process of historical development, but in this consequential world and the era of new media with fragmented information, except for the campus of professional learning and a small number of publications that adhere to faith, these records have basically gradually declined.

This realization is like the ripples of water droplets on the surface of a quiet lake, and I always think about how to express these emotions and thoughts.

Finally, after a very accidental visit to the elders of the All-China Taiwan Compatriots Association, the elders suggested that I should follow the cultural advancements that have emerged from the "228" in my family, and began to write some stories of Taiwanese, so I had the opportunity to write for the column "Art Life" of Taisheng Magazine, in which my goal was not to add icing on the cake for works or individuals, but to let more people know the story behind art.

Let's press the start button again and start doing something more meaningful

In the process of writing, I have continuously won the support of many seniors in the cross-strait art circles, from Taiwanese film and television celebrities Lin Qingjie, Li Yisu, Hong Zhiyu, Cai Yuexun, Yan Zhengguo, and Zhong Quan, Golden Melody Award music producers Yi Jiayang, Peng Chengji, and Huang Yanming, mainland art directors Zhu Xuemei and Wu Ming to Hong Kong director Mak Dajie, Xu Ke's exclusive photographer Li Ziheng, and other predecessors have given me great assistance. And Mr. Mak Dajie and Mr. Li Ziheng took the lead in handing over the script "Airplane Pineapple Oil" that they co-created to me to plan the project, and Mr. Lin Qingjie also handed me his script "Sleepwalking 168 Hours" and encouraged me to direct, and Mr. Wu Ming even handed over his first work to direct", "Shrimp Mother-in-law", to me to write a script.

During that time, I wondered why so many good art creators needed the help of someone like me who was new to the industry. It wasn't until later that I finally understood that the gap between the film and television music and cultural creators who have been straddling the two sides of the strait for many years is that they lack the ability to interpret the film and television policies on both sides of the strait, and all the creators hope to find a communicator who can assist the development of cross-strait creation, and hope to have a strong and effective execution force in specific matters.

The Chinese nation has a 5,000-year-old culture, that is great, the differences and estrangements between the two sides of the strait need time to make up, but this is not a problem that can be solved in a moment and a half, we need more time to communicate and exchange, we must not stop moving forward, words, is our most powerful exchange!

Maybe the next thing to do will occupy some of my writing time, but I feel that I should do it, and I must do it; in writing, starting to publish writing on this platform is to spur my persistence in writing and encourage it.

The most difficult thing in the world is life and death, the sudden death of my most respected elder brother Long Shaohua made me stunned, the new crown pneumonia epidemic has made many of us personally experience life and death, so what will we be afraid of when we grow up? Let's press the start button again and start doing something more meaningful!
