Miao Jie said that his trip not only led to the road of transporting vegetables from other places to Hubei, but also to the road of direct transportation of medical supplies from other places to Wuhan. He is now self-isolating at home and can no longer go to the front, but the "Hometown Visitors" team is still fighting.
Miao Jie is a native of Wuhan, Hubei Province, and after learning of the lockdown in Wuhan, he gathered his team and wanted to do something meaningful for Wuhan. The "Hometown Visitors" team set up by Miao Jie is a non-profit organization that helps farmers, the purpose of which is to help farmers across the country sell unsalable agricultural products.
Initially, Miao Jie and his team also intended to help Wuhan procure a batch of medical supplies, but because various channels have been requisitioned by the government, Miao Jie's procurement process is also extremely difficult. Until he heard that food was now in short supply, so he and the team decided to send vegetables to Wuhan.
On the fifth day of the Chinese New Year, with the efforts of the team, 15 tons of vegetables have been prepared. Miao Jie contacted the Xiantao Youth League Committee to arrange the distribution of materials after arriving in Wuhan, and on the morning of the first seven days, Miao Jie and the team set off for Wuhan with vegetables.
15 tons of vegetables were loaded with two large trucks full of them. As a member of the Mizuki Nianhua Group, on the way to Wuhan, Miao Jie will also sing to the driver to relieve his boredom.
From Hebei to Hubei, Miao Jie and his team encountered high-speed road closures, delivery trucks could not pass, etc., but fortunately, in the end, they were successfully resolved.
The public welfare team "Hometown Visitor" set up by Miao Jie was registered in 2015, and since its development, "Hometown Visitor" has helped farmers in more than 20 provinces and hundreds of counties across the country to solve the problem of unsalable vegetables.
