In Guangzhou, there is such a youth symphony orchestra: it gathered in all schools in Guangzhou, "Xueba" and "Leba", was invited to Berlin in 2015 to participate in the "European Youth Classical Music Festival", in 2016 was invited to participate in the 19th "Beijing International Music Festival". It expanded its musical footprint to the "Guangzhou Sister Cities" in Europe, Oceania and Asia within five years, and collaborated with cellist Yo-Yo Ma three times in just ten days – this is the Guangzhou Youth Symphony Orchestra.

The Guangzhou Youth Symphony Orchestra is a subsidiary orchestra of the Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra, founded in July 2011. On the occasion of its 10th anniversary, GuangqingJiao will be led by Music Director Jing Huan to present the closing ceremony concert of the 2020/2021 music season to the audience in Guangzhou at the Xinghai Concert Hall on July 21. Subsequently, the "Guangzhou Youth Symphony Orchestra 10th Anniversary Domestic Tour" began, and on July 30, it will come to Jaguar Shanghai Symphony Concert Hall. In addition to Shanghai, the tour will also go to Wuhan Qintai Concert Hall, Chengdu City Concert Hall, and Xi'an Concert Hall.

In August 2015, the Canton Youth Exchange made its first international tour and participated in the "European Youth Classical Music Festival" held at the Berlin Concert Hall.

Most of the members of the Guangzhou Youth Symphony Orchestra come from ordinary primary and secondary schools, and receive free professional training from the principal of the guangzhou symphony orchestra and senior performers. Since September 2015, the Guangzhou Youth Symphony Orchestra has become the first non-professional youth symphony orchestra in China to have a "music season", and has held more than 100 concerts at home and abroad.

The repertoire of this tour is all works on the repertoire of today's professional orchestras. The first half is a prelude to Wagner's opera The Famous Singers of Nuremberg, a mixture of humor, pleasure and vibrancy. There is also Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto, which is melodic and vibrant.

The first work of the second half was the symphonic overture "China 1921" commissioned by the Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra to compose by Guangdong composer Li Haiying, expressing the enthusiastic praise of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. The second piece is Chen Yi and Zhou Long's "Sai Long Winning Capriccio", which integrates Cantonese music colors into orchestral music, and is magnificent. The finale of Gershwin's symphonic painting "Borgie and Beth" is a graft of African Jazz pop culture and symphony in the United States, and it is difficult to interpret.

Mendelsohn's Violin Concerto is known as one of the "World's Four Violin Concertos", and the soloist is the young violinist Gao San. His 2018 tour with cellist Wang Jian and Guangqingjiao in France, the Czech Republic and Italy was still unforgettable. "I am very much looking forward to embarking on another tour on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Guangzhou Youth Exchange. Every child in the orchestra loves music very much, and many musicians continue to study in various walks of life after leaving the orchestra, while still maintaining their affection for The Youth Symphony and their love for music. ”
